I enjoy a good puzzle and I really enjoy games that are easy to play while listening to podcasts. I’m always looking for new games for this sort of multitasking, so I decided to check out Sticks Collection when it became available to review. What did I think? Read on to find out.
The Gameplay

Sticks Collection works like a traditional matchstick puzzle. You start with a shape(s) and are assigned another shape and a set number of moves. You have to create the target shape(s) using exactly that number of moves-no more, no less. It’s very simple gameplay, but still challenging. I often get stuck on a puzzle and then solve it immediately the next time I boot it up to play. It’s amazing what the brain can solve when you’re not actively paying attention to the problem!
This game has both the shape version of matchstick puzzles and the math version. In the math version you have an incorrect equation and are required to turn it into a correct one using a limited number of moves, same as the shape version.
Graphics, Controls and Music

The graphics are simple and satisfying. It’s easy to see what you’re doing and that’s all that’s really needed in a game like this. However, they did make 3 different colored/styled backgrounds which is very much appreciated. You can choose the color that’s most soothing to you.
The controls are easy to use. No issues here at all. Easy to move/remove/add matchsticks.
The music is very soothing elevator music. I found it quite pleasant even though I usually turn down the sound and play this game while listening to the podcast of the hour.

Conclusion
This is a slightly shorter review because there isn’t much to say. This game is exactly as advertised: Matchstick puzzles for your Switch. The length is good for the price, and the design leaves nothing to be desired in my opinion. If you like this style of puzzles, then you should definitely take a look.
Final Verdict: I Like it.
