Swan Song Has a Release Date on Steam

Belgian indie developer Business Goose Studios has announced that its puzzle game Swan Song will launch on Steam on June 4. Inspired by a true personal story, the game blends gentle puzzle‑solving with emotional storytelling, all set inside a magical, handcrafted music box. You can find the release date trailer here.

Swan Song invites players to slow down and listen. Each puzzle takes place inside a mysterious music box where you place notes on a scale to compose melodies. When the key turns, your composition plays, activating platforms and opening paths that guide a small swan safely back to its nest.

The experience is calming and reflective, supported by warm low‑poly visuals and a soothing original soundtrack by Jamal Green, the acclaimed composer behind TOEM.

A Story Rooted in Real Life

At the heart of Swan Song lies a deeply personal narrative. One of the developers drew from a true family experience, shaping a story about loss, memory, and acceptance. Though intimate in origin, the team crafted it to resonate universally; a quiet reminder that grief is both personal and shared.

The music box itself becomes a symbol:

“The music box was the creator’s final masterpiece, his ‘swan song’, lovingly crafted as a tribute to his family.”

With each puzzle solved, fragments of this story emerge, revealing what happened to the family and the secrets held within the box.
