Furthermore, not all games to be released are listed here. Alternatively, you will see games that the other gaming sites don’t mention. We are taking note of these games, and you can expect reviews for many of them if given half the chance. It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Steam website.
Starsand Island – February 1st
Escape the Urban Grind to Starsand Island – Your Island Paradise Awaits! Tired of the hustle and bustle? Return to the tranquil embrace of Starsand Island, a gem hailed as the “Star of the Deep Sea.” Here, immerse yourself in a serene pastoral lifestyle: slow-paced days spent bonding with adorable capybaras, cats, and dogs, savouring the thrill of bountiful fishing, exploring the mystical Moonlit Forest, or simply soaking in the island’s untouched beauty. Leave the mundane behind and rediscover life’s simple joys in this coastal utopia.
Soozi Q played the demo of Starsand Island and has this to say in her final thoughts on the game:
I loved this game, but there’s one thing that gives me pause. According to the Steam page, Starsand Island has combat. I do not like combat, so I’ve asked on the Discord channel if it can be avoided. At this point, I have been told I can play (or not play) any area or feature that I choose. So one option I could choose is to skip the regions with combat. I have done this in other games. I may miss out on some areas of the island, but there’s so much content that I doubt I’ll even notice. I was also told the combat is not difficult, so I could choose to try it and hope for the best. One more option is that combat could possibly be made optional in the full game. This is the option I’d choose. The idea has been presented to the devs, but at the time of this writing, there has been no final decision made. If you enjoy combat, you will love every aspect of this game! If you don’t, there are options.
Starsand Island will release in Early Access on Feb 1, 2026 and is projected to be a full release in the first quarter of 2026. I’m looking forward to the release of the full game; it will definitely be in my library one day soon.
SkullPirates – February 2nd
On the oceans, sailors tell tales of a ship crewed by the dead. They say a skeletal army lives within its hold, waiting to assault unwary vessels and steal their treasure. In hushed tones, their name is uttered: Their captain, Skull Queen, has a fearsome reputation as a cutthroat hunter of the seas
James reviewed SkullPirates and said this:
SkullPirates is a decent, no-nonsense brawler that feels best enjoyed in short bursts or with friends on the couch. Its combat is accessible, its style is recognisable, and its low price makes it an easy recommendation for local game nights.
In single player, though, the formula wears thin. Repetition sets in quickly, deaths can feel unfair, and the humour doesn’t always justify the unskippable cutscenes. But that will depend on the player’s individual tastes.
If you’re looking for a cheap co-op game to fill an evening with friends, SkullPirates fits the bill. Just don’t expect it to hold your attention for long if you’re sailing solo.

Lil Gator Game: In the Dark DLC – February 12th
In this charming DLC, you’ll find that new adventures and friends are just beneath the surface—literally! Get ready to “cave in” to the fun and find that you’re stalag-right where you belong!
This BIG DLC is filled to the brim with all the charm and humour you loved in Lil Gator Game.
Getting to the caves is as easy as following your nose. In the base game’s island, you’ll stumble upon a lil’ entrance that’s been there all along, to take you below ground.
Wander a beautiful cave network where glowsticks light your path and cozy tunnels host hidden nooks and crannies filled with cute critters, secret treasures, and places to relax and take in the peaceful atmosphere.
Clue: Murder By Death – February 13th
Clue: Murder by Death is a narrative-driven detective adventure inspired by classic British crime fiction and modern investigative games. Explore an imposing manor, examine evidence, interrogate suspects, and connect clues across multiple branching narrative paths. Every conversation, every alliance, and every accusation shapes the investigation and determines how the story ends.
Lord Robert Anderson has been found murdered in his secluded country manor. Summoned by his loyal butler, an old comrade of your father from the Great War, you arrive in the dead of night to uncover the truth.
Everyone appears distraught, yet behind polite smiles lie secrets, grudges, and carefully hidden motives. You don’t yet know who committed the crime or why, but you do know one thing: You have 120 minutes before Scotland Yard arrives.
Lynne reviewed Clue: Murder by Death on Switch and said this:
Clue: Murder By Death has a great framework for a video game. Appropriate graphics and a clever use of different dialogue give the game an authentic feel, more than just a remake of a classic board game.
However, with slow loading times and character movement, it misses the mark and leads to cumbersome and frustrating gameplay. Clue: Murder By Death would have benefited from more user testing and proofreading to capture the typos and grammar mistakes. Although I initially liked the game, the game-breaking crashes mean I really can’t recommend it at this time.
Scaling Up – February 13th
Become the owner of a snake ranch! As a small dragon, raise your ranch from the ground up. Gather and manage resources, build various facilities to house your snakes, make sure they are cared for to keep them happy, and collect their beautiful scales to forge stronger equipment and scale up!
ASTROBOTANICA – February 16th
ASTROBOTANICA is a science-driven survival game set on prehistoric Earth. You’re Xel, a highly educated alien botanist on a mission to discover rare seeds needed to save your home planet. After crashing on ancient Earth, you’ll find yourself surrounded by wild animals, primal humans, and a toxic atmosphere, and you’ll need to adapt quickly to survive.
Your knowledge of alien botany is the key to survival. You’ll learn how to grow and process Earth’s unfamiliar flora into food and medicine. Experimentation, adaptation and research will be key to finding plant species which could thrive on your home planet. But for now, you have to discover and cultivate essential herbage to secure the stable supply of carbon dioxide you need to breathe.
Mina played ASTROBOTANICA in Early Access and had this to say:
Overall, I think ASTROBOTANICA is not where it needs to be. Even with the grace I usually give to Early Access titles, there is just so much missing from the tutorial and the gameplay that it is hard to make a solid judgment. I look forward to seeing how this game grows as it develops; there are some good bones in place that could make for a fun builder and survival game.
Seclusa – February 16th
Seclusa is a blend of a casual photography simulator and cozy idle game where you can play as actively or passively as you want. Each area has been handcrafted to be highly ambient and immersive, whether you’re photographing the local wildlife or relaxing by the fire as the sun sets.
Get your camera ready for a variety of East African wildlife as you take on photography jobs for conservation groups. As you level up, you’ll unlock more animals and locations, as well as camera upgrades that can completely change the look and feel of your photos.
Demon Tides – February 19th
Follow Beebz and her crew on a journey of self-discovery as they travel the vast oceans of Ragnar’s Rock in this vast platforming adventure!
Navigate the open seas and explore each distant structure, uncovering every hidden nook and cranny with a diverse, expressive move-set. Beat challenges or find hidden chests to collect talismans along the way that modify your abilities and allow you to express yourself through your schmovement. You can even switch up your drip with a plethora of discoverable outfits!
And never forget, you’re not alone in this journey! Compete with other players for speedrunning times by challenging their ghosts, or tag a wall and share your message with the entire world!
