Paula reviewed RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic and said this:
RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic on Nintendo Switch faithfully recreates a legendary series that still holds up as one of the best management sims ever made. However, the lack of touch controls and some performance issues prevent it from fully utilising the platform’s potential. For fans of the series, it’s a nostalgic must-play. For newcomers, it offers a fun, though occasionally clunky, introduction to theme park management.

James reviewed the game and liked it a lot. He wrote this in his conclusion:
Slopecrashers is a love letter to the arcade-style snowboarding games of yesteryear. It’s accessible, fun, and packed with options for solo players and multiplayer chaos, local or online. While it doesn’t reinvent the snowboard, it’s a nostalgic ride down memory lane with a modern twist.

Quilts and Cats of Calico is a cosy board game in which the player’s main task is to make a quilt from patterned fabric scraps. By smartly combining the colours and patterns of the scraps, the player can not only score points for the completed design but also sew on buttons and attract adorable cats, who have their own preferences for bedding patterns.
When Mina reviewed the game on Steam, she gave it our highest rating:
Overall, I’m super happy with my time with Quilts and Cats of Calico. I haven’t finished the game just yet, but I can tell I’m pretty close to the end. I love the puzzles; I love making my own cats and taking on NPCs in quilting challenges. I’m super happy that I got to see the final product; it did not disappoint.

Embark on an epic journey and become the hero the Netherworld never saw coming.
James reviewed Leif’s Adventure: Netherworld Hero and said this:
Leif’s Adventure: Netherworld Hero is a captivating, heartfelt journey that I wholeheartedly recommend to fans of action-adventure games. The hand-drawn visuals, satisfying combat, and touching story make it a standout experience. Sure, the boss fights can feel like they’re out for blood, and solo players might find the spirit mechanics a bit overwhelming, but these are small bumps in an otherwise fantastic road.
If you’re unsure, try the free demo on the eShop. It’s a great way to experience this Nordic adventure before committing to the full journey.
Super Spy Racoon – December 19th

A retro arcade throwback where you hide, sneak, climb, and leap your way to victory! Do you have the skills to top score?
Super Spy Raccoon is an imagining of a stealth game as an early 80’s Arcade Classic! Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to acquire all classified documents as you venture deeper and deeper into enemy territory. Hide, sneak, climb, and leap your way to victory!
James reviewed Super Spy Raccoon and had this to say:
Super Spy Raccoon stands out for its originality, offering a fresh take on arcade-style gameplay with its stealth mechanics. It’s not the easiest game to warm up to, especially with its unforgiving detection system, but those willing to master its quirks may find it a satisfying challenge.
At its budget-friendly price, it’s worth a shot for arcade fans or anyone who wants to see a raccoon in a snazzy suit. Just be prepared for a few “game over” screens along the way.
Star Trek: Legends – December 25th

Even though it’s probably too much battle-based for me, this Trekkie can’t resist putting it in here!
Step into the role of your favourite heroes and villains from across the history of Star Trek and embark on an epic space adventure to control the mysterious Nexus. Battle to save all of existence in Star Trek’s official strategy-based RPG!
Pine: A Story of Loss – December 31st

Alone in the forest clearing he shared with his wife, a woodworker struggles to accept her passing. Help him hold on to cherished memories of their life together as he struggles to care for himself and his now-empty home. Pine is a single-serving game focused on telling a beautiful, emotional tale.
James reviewed Pine: A Story of Loss and said this:
The developers of Pine deserve immense credit for tackling such a challenging subject. Grief is not an easy topic to explore, but the game handles it with grace, showing both despair and fleeting beauty in equal measure. It also offers a rare and honest portrayal of male mental health, capturing the struggle in a way few games have dared to before.
Pine: A Story of Loss is not for everyone. It’s emotionally heavy, and some may find its rawness difficult to face. But for those willing to embrace its message, it offers a deeply moving experience and even a few quiet smiles along the way. If nothing else it reminded me of the importance of appreciating the ones you love in the moment as you just never know what life will throw at you.
