The Gameplay of Amazing Weekend 2: Search and Relax
Amazing Weekend 2: Search and Relax 2 is a classic hidden object game. It consists of several scenes in which we need to find different objects. There is no storyline here beyond the common theme of all the scenes—things we do and places we go while on vacation.
For each scene, we have three modes of playing: finding objects by name, by picture, or by outline. Each mode gives us stars, which can then be used to unlock a new set of scenes. In the scenes, we also look for additional items, which give us bonus points. Some of the objects are random, and the clue is their outline. The other type of object is a raccoon hiding somewhere in the picture.
Every couple of scenes, we have a different type of puzzle—a match-2 board game, adjusting pieces of a picture until they all fit together, and so on. It is a nice change of pace between the hidden object puzzles. All of these puzzles can be skipped if you’d rather just do the hidden object scenes.
One thing that makes or breaks games like Amazing Weekend 2 is the art style. Here, it is photorealistic, and while nothing to write home about, it is still pleasant enough. The hidden objects are logical within the context of the scenes, which is not always the case in games like this.
Each of the hidden object scenes is equipped with a zoom-in button and a rechargeable hint button. The game has no timers – you can take as much time as you want.
Since this is a Collector’s edition, some extra content is available. It includes a music player with all the tracks from the soundtrack, wallpapers, bonus hidden object scenes, more mini-games, and a shelf with collectible souvenirs.
Some Other Things
Amazing Weekend 2: Search and Relax 2 Collector’s Edition has no Steam achievements or trading cards as of yet. It has basic audio and video settings.

Amazing Weekend 2: Search and Relax 2 Collector’s Edition is yet another generic hidden object game. While it is nothing groundbreaking or unique, if you like the genre and are in the mood for some stressless fun, this game might be the one for you.
