Bunker Constructor Simulator is an early-access simulation title where you need to dig deep underground to build bunkers for the whole neighborhood. Gain money to upgrade your own bunker as you help everyone around town prep for the worst.
The Gameplay of Bunker Constructor Simulator So Far
Bunker Constructor Simulator plays like basically every other building simulator. You start out at your home, and you have to drive to the store, pick up supplies, and bring them to the house you will be working on. Then, you dig and start to build using the concrete, metal bars, and other items you got at the store.

Before starting any job, you also have to accept it and buy all the permits. Thankfully, Bunker Constructor Simulator starts you off with plenty of money and a very detailed tutorial. You also have a very big backpack that can hold like 400 bags of concrete, which boggles the mind. But it also makes moving your supplies around a lot easier.
Once you have dug up a big enough hole to start putting in the structural items, you need to plan them, place them, then fill them in with concrete and rebar, solidifying the underground structure before beginning to decorate with items from the furniture store.

The controls are fairly simple, and if you have played any simulation building game ever, you won’t have any issues picking it up.
A Troubled Early Access
All that being said, Bunker Constructor Simulator is in a very rough state currently. The first issue I had was that you have to do everything in the tutorial in a specific order; if you try to do anything differently than the game orders you to do it in, you can easily lock up the game until you undo everything and start back from wherever you stopped. Even if it is superfluous. I had to, for example, load up my truck with concrete instead of just leaving it in my inventory while driving to the dig site.

I had an issue where the game kept telling me I had placed 10 out of 11 walls, and I could not proceed until I had placed all 11. I stumbled around, trying to figure out where the last wall was supposed to go, trying to fit it into a number of different places. Turns out, I needed to place a doorway, which is technically categorized under “walls” in the building menu. It was still incredibly confusing and stumped me for a while.
There are lots of little issues like this in Bunker Constructor Simulator. On top of that, you also have some bugs to deal with, including random crashing that deletes your progress since the last save. The biggest issue, however, had to be the weird visual bug that completely derailed my progress.
I had dug out about half the bunker when I saved. I reloaded the save, and the underground where I was digging looked like this:

I was underneath the world, unable to continue my progress, and I had to start over from scratch. Thankfully, I wasn’t too far into the game, but it was frustrating after already losing progress to crashing earlier. No matter how many times I reloaded my broken save, it never fixed itself, so it was either start over again or quit the game.
I chose to quit the game.
Final Thoughts
I didn’t get too far into Bunker Constructor Simulator, mostly because of the bugs and the rigidity of the tutorial. It’s a shame, too, because it had a lot of potential to be really fun. I hope that the developer has a lot of updates and bug fixes planned for the near future, because Bunker Constructor Simulator is basically unplayable as it currently stands.
