Little Chef: Cozy Cooking Has a Release Date

Solo developers Julien and Erika are nearly ready to serve up Little Chef: Cozy Cooking, with Early Access landing on Steam on 16 March. You can even sample the physics‑powered kitchen chaos in a demo during the Steam Next Fest.

You’re stepping into a game that looks like a colourful, cosy puzzle box, where every kitchen hides new ingredients, secrets, and the occasional cassette tape to lob into a music player. You drag, drop, toss, and experiment your way through each level, unlocking recipes simply by trying things out.

With more than 150 dishes to discover, you’ll be poking into every cupboard and corner to find the ingredients you need. Even your strangest combinations might surprise you, and the game rewards that curiosity with achievements that encourage a bit of rule‑breaking.

Expect playful physics, hidden‑ingredient puzzles, and a story that unfolds one recipe at a time — from childhood comfort food to brand‑new creations.

6 Years to Build BIG HOPS

It’s been a month since BIG HOPS bounced onto the scene, and the team is marking the moment with something a bit special: a free YouTube documentary titled 6 Years to Build BIG HOPS. You’re getting a front‑row seat to the entire journey, from the game’s first spark back in 2019 to the tense minutes before launch.

The film walks you through six years of highs, lows, and hard graft — quitting jobs, hunting for a publisher, expanding the team, and wrestling with design challenges. You also see the tougher chapters, like being dropped by a publisher and turning to Kickstarter to keep the project alive. It’s a story that looks like a mix of creative chaos, determination, and a surprisingly hopeful finish.

If you enjoy seeing what really goes into making a game, this documentary looks like a heartfelt, honest peek behind the curtain. You can find the documentary here.

Pack Vehicles in One Move Away

One Move Away is a 3D, first-person puzzle game that blends puzzles with packing vehicles. You’re stepping into the shoes of three characters at different stages of their lives, each level giving you a fresh vehicle to fill and a new set of oddly shaped belongings to wrestle with. There’s no Steam release date yet, but you can already try a demo.

You’re free to pack with precision or embrace total chaos — as long as the boot shuts. Realistic physics mean every item you place can nudge, topple, or trigger a full‑on domino disaster, so you’ll need to think smartly about space, weight, and balance.

Each stage sets you new objectives, pushing you to optimise your approach and chase that satisfying moment when everything finally slots into place. With different shapes, sizes, and tight spaces to contend with, the game looks like a cosy but clever test of strategy, patience, and packing perfection.

Spirit Talk: Help Spirits Find Peace

Cosy, heart‑warming visual novel Spirit Talk, where you step into a magical shop and help spirits find peace, now has an official demo live on Steam.

You join Julia on the grand opening of her spiritual agency, where years of training finally pay off as she learns to summon spirits and guide them through their unfinished business. Each story offers multiple endings, so you’ll find yourself returning again and again to see where different choices lead.

Between warm chats and lo‑fi beats, you’ll craft potions to restore lost memories and unlock key moments from each spirit’s past. It’s not just about talking—your potion‑making skills become essential as you uncover personal stories one potion at a time, all within a calm and cosy atmosphere perfect for unwinding. Look forward to the game in Q2 2026.

A Taste of Magic in The Witch’s Bakery Demo

The Witch’s Bakery is offering you a first taste of its magical world, with a free demo now available on Steam. You’re stepping into Lunne’s cosy Parisian bakery long before the full launch arrives in Q2 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The demo looks like a warm introduction to this emotion‑driven adventure RPG, where you play as a joyful witch who can peer into people’s hearts and heal them through magic. Your days unfold in three phases: running the bakery with your friends, exploring Paris and deepening relationships, then unwinding at night as you train your magic and decorate your space.

Once you close up shop, you can wander through colourful districts, meet new characters, pick up fresh skills, and discover recipes that shape Lunne’s journey. If you’re after a cosy adventure with charm, heart, and a sprinkle of magic, this demo looks like the perfect place to start.

Demo Update for Mystery Egg Shop Simulator

At the start of the year, Laurane looked at the first demo for Mystery Egg Shop Simulator, intrigued by the idea behind the game. She wasn’t convinced at the time.

The developer has just dropped a major update to the demo, adding many new features, and it’s said to also fix the detailed user experience based on feedback. We haven’t checked it out, but you might be in the mood for giving the demo a spin!

Demo for CatLands

CatLands looks like a cosy, cat‑filled puzzle adventure where you match landscape tiles to build peaceful little worlds — and you can eventually go for your own village. You can try the demo on PC and Steam Deck, with the full release planned for Q2–Q3 2026.

According to the press release, each puzzle you tackle will feel different, with shifting landscapes and optional modifiers that keep things fresh. As you play, you earn new tiles and meet silly feline villagers who chat, joke, and hand out quests. Those same cats can later move into the village you design from scratch, giving you a gentle, creative outlet alongside the puzzles.

The game blends calm, tactile building with just enough strategy to keep you thinking. You’re free to take your time, watching forests, rivers, and fields slot together into satisfying little scenes. Fans of Dorfromantik will recognise that lovely “perfect placement” feeling, but the warmth, whimsy, and cat companionship give it a charm all of its own.

The demo offers infinite puzzle levels, early village‑building, and plenty of fluffy friends to meet.
