Gaming News – 8th October

It’s time for Gaming News! Tonight, we have news concerning two-game delays and two new game announcements.

Tangle Tower Delay

In an earlier edition of gaming news, I reported that Tangle Tower was due to release for Nintendo Switch on 10th October. Sadly, the release date has been pushed back to 22nd October “due to unavoidable reasons” (SFB Games).

Tangle Tower is a murder mystery game from British developer SFB Games. In the game, players “investigate a curious murder case at Tangle Tower, an ominous mansion where secrets lurk in the darkest corners.”

Are you looking forward to Tangle Tower? Are you upset about the delay? Please let us know in the comments below.

Children of Morta is Delayed Too

Children of Morta is another anticipated game for Switch which sadly has been delayed until November. According to an official press release, the delay is due to “technical kinks” that remain in the Switch release. The full statement reads:

“To the players and our fans,
Spending 5 years creating a game is exhausting. Spending 5 years creating a game and then having to delay it — that’s just brutal — but when you’re aiming for excellence, and you know it’s within your grasp, you just do it. Such is the case with Children of Morta on the Nintendo Switch. We still have a couple of kinks to work out and are pushing for quality over anything else. The community may forgive us for the delay, but forgiveness won’t come so easily if we release a game that’s not working perfectly. As delivering the best performance is our highest priority, we are simply delaying the game to November 20th to allow ourselves the time we need. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 releases are going as planned on the 15th of October.

At 11 bit studios, there is no space for compromise when it comes to quality. For players, it means a bit more of a wait. For us, a bit more hard work which we’re glad to do because, in the end, we all have the same goal — a fantastic game.

Kind regards,

Dead Mage & 11 bit studios”

Headsnatchers Coming to Switch in November

Party game Headsnatchers is coming to Nintendo Switch in November. The game requires players to “Snatch their opponent’s head off their shoulders and become the king of the party in 4 game modes and 25 unique levels to choose from.” With more than 100 heads to choose from and a custom header creator, Headsnatchers sounds like a fun game for family and friends to play.

And finally…

Day and Night takes the typical falling block type game and adds its own unique twist by using a newly developed day and night mechanic. The game will launch on 22nd October and is available for preorder with a 25% discount on the eShop.
