Hozy is a 2026 puzzle simulator developed by Come On Studio and released by tinyBuild. Zoozi Q participated in the playtest of Hozy and shared her thoughts here.
The Premise of Hozy
In Hozy, we restore a forgotten neighborhood by cleaning, painting, and decorating one cozy room at a time.

The Gameplay of Hozy
In Hozy, we have several levels, each available to replay as many times as we want, once we unlock it. We can’t skip rooms, but completing them is easy and relaxing, with no timers, scores, and penalties.
We start with an empty room that needs cleaning and painting, and then we have some unpacking to do. We are not obliged to use all the furniture we get. There’s a handy little crate on the side to store unused furniture.
We usually have three paint colors and some tiles. We can rotate, move, and arrange furniture to our heart’s content. Some of the objects are interactable too- lights can be turned on and off, pianos can be made to play a little tune, and so on. I really enjoyed the way leaves softly fall down from the edge of the room when sweeping.

Visuals
The visual style is modern and cozy, a little dreamy. The rooms we have to arrange fit into the dreamy description well- we have an illustrator’s room, a cafe that used to be an old-world apothecary, a tiny student’s apartment, and a lighthouse. The lighting deserves a special mention – each level has its own atmosphere- for some levels, we have soft lighting, for others, it seems that the weather is a bit “sad”. One of the levels starts black and white, and by interacting with objects, we can turn it into a colored interior. On the lower side of the screen, we can see a quick list of all our tasks.
There’s a nice variety of furniture and accessories to decorate, but the choice is by no means overwhelming. Some fans of games like The Sims might be disappointed by the choices, but I actually think that it’s a good thing. You don’t need to use all the furniture, too – you can drop it in a special crate and create a unique look for your interior. The main thing is the furniture and decor look real, and the whole space, while dreamy, looks easily lived in.

We can also rotate the rooms as we need, with the right mouse button. Sometimes it’s necessary to rotate the whole room to repair or clean parts of it.
Hozy also has a photo mode, with filters and advanced camera controls. The soundtrack is charming and uniquely well-suited to each level, all by the composer of Stray and Seasons After Fall.
The developers are working on additional content for the game and the sandbox experience, which will be added soon.

Some Other Things
Hozy offers basic audio and video settings. The game features Steam achievements but does not yet include Trading cards.
Conclusion
Hozy was one of my most anticipated games of the year, and it didn’t disappoint at all. The developers have promised extra content down the line, but even now, the game is just cozy enough to replay each level, without hurrying, leisurely, cozily. If you like interior design games and you are in the mood for something short, but very cute, Hozy is definitely worth a look.
