Servonauts: A Co-op Hit Worth Fueling Up For
Servonauts is an action-packed co-op game with a local multiplayer focus that fans of chaotic games like Overcooked will adore. Instead of whipping up soufflés, you’re pumping petrol into futuristic space cars. It’s a familiar formula but with a cosmic twist and a few clever tricks up its sleeve that help it stand out in the crowded co-op galaxy. It’s a surefire hit for game night, whether you’re playing with loved ones or just flying solo.
Crew Expendable
The premise is simple: you’re robotic gas station attendants tasked with refuelling space cars. Sounds easy? Nope. You’re completely expendable. Your job includes summoning fuel stations, drilling petrol from alien planets, mixing it into colourful concoctions, and then connecting a maze of pipes to deliver it to impatient customers.
Oh, and did we mention that cars explode if you accidentally pump the wrong fuel? You have a short window to correct the error,r but you may be screaming at your teammate to disconnect a pipe before you blow up the universe.
Most orders start simple, basic black fuel, but soon, you’ll need to whip up complex colour combinations. The game becomes a frenzied juggling act as you connect, disconnect, and reconnect pipes like a caffeinated plumber on a deadline.

Managing the Chaos
It’s not just demanding customers that keep you on your toes. The levels themselves throw in moving hazards like traffic, falling blocks, and deadly lasers, all conspiring to ruin your day. Think of it as your boss telling you to “stay focused” while the office is literally on fire. In addition, you can call a unique power-up or find one on the level, like a jump pad or an out-of-order sign. The latter prevents new customers from arriving in a designated spot. This adds a nice touch of variety to the gameplay and even a little customization to each player.
The magic of Servonauts lies in its chaotic co-op gameplay. Playing with friends is guaranteed to lead to entertaining disasters, complete with panicked yelling and blame-shifting (“I told you not to connect the yellow pipe!”). Single-player is a slightly calmer experience, thanks to a helpful robot assistant who collects coins for you. It’s like having a less judgmental Roomba.
Stress? What Stress?
Unlike some co-op games that thrive on stressing you out (looking at you, Overcooked), Servonauts takes a more laid-back approach. While there’s a star-rating system for completing levels, there’s no dreaded ticking clock on screen. Sure, customers will honk at you like they’re late for a space PTA meeting, but the level won’t end until you finish all the orders. It’s less “panic-fueled nightmare” and more “mildly chaotic fun.”
That said, you’ll need to earn enough stars to unlock future levels, but replaying earlier ones doesn’t feel like a chore. Besides, there’s something oddly satisfying about nailing a perfect fuel line on your second attempt.

Accessible Fun for All
The controls are simple and intuitive, making Servonauts easy for players of all skill levels to pick up. You move around, grab items, and place them where needed. If you make a mistake, you can nuke misplaced objects; just make sure you’re standing at a safe distance unless you enjoy a robot BBQ.
One odd omission is a dash button, which is a staple in this type of game. It’s a bit like showing up to a marathon in flip-flops, which is not impossible, but definitely slower than it needs to be.
Colourful Chaos
Visually, Servonauts boasts simple, soft 3D graphics with a vibrant space theme. The upbeat soundtrack complements the zany gameplay, though it’s not going to win any Grammy awards. Important items are clearly highlighted, and you can unlock silly hats for your robot, which is always good for a laugh. Who doesn’t want to be served by a robot with a banana on his head?
The overall vibe is lighthearted and family-friendly, making it a great choice for players of all ages.

Conclusion: Fill Up Your Switch With This
Servonauts is a delightful addition to any game night lineup. It’s easy to pick up, accessible for everyone, and packed with enough chaotic fun to keep you entertained for hours. Sure, it plays things a little safe, focusing heavily on its pipe-based gameplay without branching out much, but it nails what it sets out to do.
Whether you’re yelling at friends to fix a broken pipeline or enjoying the game solo, Servonauts delivers a fantastic experience. What is the best way to fuel your Switch? With this game.
Final Verdict: I Like it a Lot
