You can find all kinds of video games in the puzzle genre. Some are based on the match-3 idea, others on the point-and-click school of thought, or they are jigsaws or math-based. There are so many different ways to exercise the brain, and to me, logic puzzle games are a favourite. One that falls in that genre is Einstein’s Cats.

An office-themed puzzle scene from Einstein's Cats, Level 37. Four cats with different patterns and colors sit on the floor, surrounded by desks, file cabinets, cardboard boxes, and a printer. The clues on the left give behavioral hints, like "Gray cats hate Tall containers." The environment mimics a real office with a water cooler and window showing a cityscape. Einstein’s Famous Riddle

Einstein’s Cats offers over 90 levels of logic-based puzzles, with a name chosen based on Einstein’s famous riddle, where you have to figure out which person owns the fish. In Albert Einstein’s version, there are five variables to work through, and it takes serious dedication to solve it.

A cozy greenhouse-themed puzzle scene from Einstein's Cats, Level 27. The screen shows several cats placed in various containers—baskets, clay pots, and the floor—against a soft, pastel-colored background of plants and brick walls. Clues on the left help determine the ideal placements for cats based on their patterns and preferences. One orange cat named Felix is wearing a straw hat and sits contently in a labeled clay pot. As Einstein’s Cats is a game meant to be relaxing, the difficulty level is much lower. You don’t want to be pulling out your hair in frustration, right? The developer made sure the game is accessible to a large public, but there are no hints, and you can’t progress unless you solve a level.

The banner displays a lightbulb icon and a row of newly unlocked stickerbook items, including a coffee machine, a coffee bag, and various colorful mugs. Napping Spots for Picky Cats

Einstein’s Cats is a cosy puzzle game that leans on the love for cats. You’ll be solving clues to help a variety of picky cats find their perfect napping spots, whether it’s a box, a basket, or even a flower pot! I’m more of a dog person myself, but I can relate to our critters wanting a place to crash that matches their criteria. It can depend on the time of day and, most importantly, if there’s a spot that catches the sun’s rays!

The first level starts out easy, in a room in a Townhouse, with two shelves with a box and a basket, and two cats to sort. Though there are three variables (high or low, basket or box, white or black cat), the instruction makes it pretty clear which cat goes where: Black cats love Baskets.

A cozy café puzzle scene from Einstein's Cats, Level 24. Multiple cats, some named like "Gabriel," sit in baskets and cardboard boxes on shelves and counters. The setting includes a brick wall, a chalkboard menu with cat-related doodles, and a clock. The left panel lists puzzle clues related to cat preferences for certain containers and positions. Published on: LadiesGamers.

When you’re done with a hint you can scratch it out, making it easier to keep track.

Pretty soon, more variables are added, like tall or wide baskets and boxes, cats with hats, with scarves, different colours, the name of a cat and an extra challenge of the markings on a cat. That part was new to me, but it didn’t take me long to figure out what a tuxedo pattern and a point pattern are. I had no idea, maybe I should have consulted Mina, who is the cat lover in our group!

Other Fun in Einstein’s Cats

Along the way in Einstein’s Cats, you’ll collect stickers and decorations to fill your very own cat-themed scrapbook. Each chapter features unique hand-drawn papercraft art, taking you through cosy houses, chic cafés, greenhouses, and even space stations.

The room has a striped wallpaper background, potted plant, and a window. On the right, a vertical menu displays various cat accessories like hats, glasses, and collars, some still locked. For every cluster of themed puzzles like the Cafe, the Office and the Greenhouse, there’s nice relaxing music in the background.

Conclusion

Einstein’s Cats is a casual game for fans of the logic puzzle genre. The art looks great, the music is relaxing, and the cats look sweet, especially when you pick them up to put in the basket. The sticker book is a nice addition, and the puzzles are accessible and not overly hard.

Screenshot from the puzzle game Einsteins Cats, showing Level 12. The scene is set in a cozy, pastel-toned room with striped wallpaper, a window, a plant, a blue armchair, and two wooden shelves. Five cats of various patterns are positioned on the shelves and floor. Two cats sit in baskets, two sit in or near cardboard boxes, and one gray cat with a pink bow sits on the floor. Puzzle hints are listed on the left, such as "Gray cats hate being on the end" and "Orange cats hate being up high." Published on: LadiesGamers.
Doesn’t it look sweet and helpless, picking it up?

A good game to pick up and play in between your chores, taking a break with a nice cup of your favourite beverage!

Final Verdict: I Like it a Lot
