Whilst the festivities approach us, there is a chill in the air. In my working life, I have always followed the tradition of wearing Christmas Jumpers or, more specifically, Gaming Christmas Jumpers. While the festivities themselves allow me some time to continue the backlog of games I have, it felt nice to write a little piece about a couple of my long-standing Gaming Christmas Jumpers as they certainly stand the test of time.
Gaming Christmas Jumpers – Super Smash Bros

While in University, I would often game with a couple of my closest friends after a long day. We would play titles like MarioKart, Monster Hunter, Pokemon X and Y and, at the time, Super Smash Bros Brawl. In 2014, Super Smash Bros for WiiU and 3DS was released later that year, but by then we all left University to go on our own journeys in life. I remember getting the title later in the last quarter of the year, resorting to playing online and missing the feeling you get with local gaming – specifically, the high emotions when everyone is hyped up.
I remember Christmas 2014 with a little sadness for that reason. However, some of my family members at this time were a little older and wanted to play games with me. For that Christmas, I received a retro-styled Smash Bros Gaming Jumper, and whenever I wear it, I think back fondly on the gaming sessions with my friends and family that year.
Gaming Christmas Jumpers – Snow Day Gnar

In 2015, I actually decided to play League of Legends quite a bit. I was still learning the game after starting the title just into my last year of University. After discovering and earning enough points to unlock a champion named ‘Gnar’. I slowly started to improve at the game over the next few years. In 2015, Gnar had a winter-themed skin release called Snow Day Gnar, which I obviously bought as he resembles a Husky.
A few years later, a Snow Day Gnar Christmas Jumper was released on the merchandise store and at this point, Gnar had easily become my favourite champion to play. I actually got the jumper free with my order of a Plushie of a newly released champion, and since then, the Snow Day Gnar jumper has easily become one of my favourite Gaming Christmas Jumpers.
It’s Not All Jumpers!

I hope you enjoyed story time regarding two of my longstanding Gaming Christmas Jumpers. Hopefully, you can join in the comment section with any gaming festive merchandise you have, whether it be on you, other family members or the family pet. For me, I think I’ll need to find some warm Gaming Christmas socks like these Pikachu ones from here. Also, I’ll be wearing the Snow Day Gnar jumper for todaworkday day.
