It’s time for a brief gaming news roundup. Today we have news about a new Switch revision, new coloured Joy-Con’s, and even a release date for Luigi’s Mansion 3.
Nintendo Announce New Switch Revision and New Joy-Con Colours
Nintendo’s flagship/original Switch console is getting a hardware revision. Full details are not yet known, but the main difference appears to be a bigger battery. The new model will have a minimum 4.5hr playtime, and this can extend up to 9hrs depending on game requirements. The new model will replace older models during mid-august in the US and early September in the UK.
If you’re in the market for new Joy-Cons and want a wider variety of colours to choose from, then Nintendo is adding two extra pair of controllers to choose from. Blue and Neon Yellow along with Neon Purple and Neon Orange will hit US stores in October.
