Void Terrarium: weird and cute at the same time
NIS America have announced a new coming called void tRrLM(); //Void Terrariumand it will arrive on the Nintendo Switch this summer.
Here’s the description of the game:
“In a world contaminated with toxic fungi, a discarded maintenance robot finds a girl named Toriko on the brink of death among the discarded junk in a scrapyard. After nursing her back to health it’s revealed that she may very well be the last remaining human. And that she is highly vulnerable to the deadly conditions of the outside world.
To ensure her survival, the robot and his newfound friend, a decommissioned AI known as factoryAI create a refuge for her within a terrarium. To reinforce the terrarium as well as Torino’s poor health the lone robot must venture into the wasteland to gather resources while battling the vagrant machines and mutated creatures that roam there.
Along the way the uncertain future of Toriko’s existence and with her, the entire human race, will slowly come to light…”

Hidden Through Time releases on Nintendo Switch
Crazy Monkey Studios has announced that its fourth dimensional hidden object game, Hidden Through Time, will be launching March 12. Explore the four great ages as you search each scene for various objects and people, interacting with the environment to suss out even the most secret of details. You can even concoct your own devious puzzles using the map-editor, building your own scenes packed to the brim with colourful characters and objects.
Trucks from the Netherlands
Not a game that we typically have on the site, but as SOEDESCO is a company based in the Netherlands, and my hometown is also home of DAF Trucks I couldn’t resist sharing this game with you.
“Truck Driver offers a unique trucking experience with a wide range of cargo and interesting characters to work with. For the Nintendo Switch version, Truck Driver supports solo horizontal grip and tilt controls. The game also gets HD Rumble support, which allows for subtle and fast changing vibrations that will increase the gaming experience.”

New Trailer for Trials of Mana
Square Enix released a new trailer for Trials of Mana this week. This is a remake of the third game in the original Mana series. Launching on April 24, the game will bring the beloved story and characters to the modern era with real-time combat, beautiful 3D graphics and updated gameplay.
Originally released in Japan as Seiken Densetsu 3 in 1995, Trials of Mana immerses players in an unforgettable adventure filled with exciting gameplay, memorable heroes and villains. Players will craft varying experiences by selecting a party of three from six unique characters as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime, upgrading their characters’ classes into more power forms, learning over 300 different abilities, and discovering a world of secrets and mysteries to explore.
Meet Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Did you know MazM? I didn’t, to be honest, but it’s interesting: MazM is a ‘story game series’, a series of interactive games that bring to life a world of well-known stories. The company reproduces their games to faithfully reproduce original stories through the various structures and devices that make up the narratives. They are designed to offer the players “the experience of reading a book.”
MazM: Jekyll and Hyde is the second game of MazM series, and it will be released on the Switch and Steam on April 2nd. It is based on the classic mystery novel “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde,” written by Robert Louis Stevenson.
“Utterson, a sincere lawyer, is the main playable character and also an old friend of Dr. Jekyll. From his perspective the player tracks down Hyde, a mysterious man who was named beneficiary by Dr. Jekyll. In order to do this, the player has to explore various areas of gloomy 19th Century London and collect evidence from citizens. Bring to light what secrets Hyde has.”

Mekorama lands on the Switch
Pretty soon, on March 26, Robot “B” (named like that because he looks like a Bee) crash lands on a strange cubic planet in your Switch. This remake of a mobile game adds 50 new levels to the 50 levels already available in the original game.
You have to explore each level, rotating it in 3D to see all sides, looking for a way through to the goal. Make use of lifts and slide platforms to get around while looking out for dangers. Think outside of the box to find solutions sometimes in unconventional ways to find a way forward.
Aside from the 100 levels, you can also try your hand at creating your own levels with the level editor and see what other unimaginable designs are possible.
The Prinnies take centre stage
You might know the Prinnies as a race featuring in Nippon Ichi’s series Disgea. They appeared in various games from the same studio later on, but now, they will be getting their own game! First though you must now that, according to Wiki, a “Prinny is a small, usually blue, pouch-wearing penguin-like creature with disproportionately small bat wings, two peg legs where feet would normally be, and stitches at the top of the chest. When thrown, they explode on impact.”
The Prinnies will finally be taking centre stage this Fall in their very own games Prinny 1&2: Explosive and Reloaded for the Nintendo Switch!
That trailer for Void Terrarium brought a tear to my eye. It looks very touching.
That Blind Man visual novel looks pretty great. Always excited to see more visual novels come to any system I own!
I agree, it looks like it’s a compelling story!
