It’s time again for the gaming news that stood out to us this past week. We’ve got news about the news feature in the NookLink App, Deiland from Chibig Studios will succeed Summer in Mara, there’s a demo for Mad Dead Rat in the eShop, be a Fashionista with the Selfy Collection, will the Pikmin Short Stories come to YouTube? Then there’s a possible Nook’s Cranny Lego set and Ghost of a Tale coming soon.
New Feature NookLink App
With the new Fall update, the app NookLink got some extra’s as well: Reactions. This is a new feature which allows you to quickly perform Reactions in-game by using your smartphone. As you can see in the image below, you can simply tap on your chosen Reaction from a menu, getting rid of the need to cycle through your favourite poses on your Switch.
Deiland From the Studio Behind Summer in Mara
In June we got to enjoy Summer in Mara, the very successful Kickstarter project by Studio Chibig. I knew they had a game before Summer in Mara, called Deiland. It was their first game for PS4 and PC, based in the same universe as Summer in Mara (even you meet there some characters like Mûn or Brram).
Back then Chibig wanted to make a cozy and relaxing game, set in a tiny world for you to take care off. But we didn’t have the experience that we have now. That’s why they are going to make Deiland: Pocket Planet Edition. A new version of the game, with unique content, gameplay improvements, new art and new music. The Kickstarter campaign will launch on October 6th.
Mad Rat Dead Demo in eShop
Remember the new game NIS America announced, Mad Rat Dead? It’s now available as a demo on the Switch.
Wreak havoc to the rhythm in the demo for Mad Rat Dead, available for free download from the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop. Players are also encouraged to enter the Mad Rat Dead Demo Contest: earn an S+ on the level(s) featured in the demo for a chance to win specialty items like the Mad Rat Peeker Sticker, a Sad Heart Dad Hat, and the Mad Rat Dead Limited Edition for PS4 or Nintendo Switch.
Selfy Collection: Be a Fashionista Now
We all know the wonderful fashion games on the DS and 3DS, Style Boutique. The Switch didn’t have a fashion game yet, until now. Selfy Collection: the Dream Fashion Stylist has landed in the eShop.

Fan Idea for a AC Lego Set
A fan-designed version of Nook’s Cranny: Nook’s Cranny from Animal Crossing New Horizons was pitched sometime ago to Nintendo as an idea for a new Lego set. It could actually become a reality as it’s got more then 10.000 votes. On the Lego site it now says: ” in review”. I would surely go for it, even if I don’t really play with Lego!
Ghost of a Tale Coming Soon
Ghost of a Tale is an action-RPG game that’s coming to the Switch next week, on October 8. In this great looking game you play as Tilo, a mouse and minstrel caught up in a perilous adventure. The game takes place in a medieval world populated only by animals and puts an emphasis on immersion and exploration. It features stealth elements, disguises, conversations with allies and enemies, and quests.
Explore the secrets of Dwindling Heights Keep and navigate its dangers. Tilo is not much of a fighter, so stealth and nimbleness are your allies when confronted with enemies twice your size. Talk to the characters you meet and leave no stone unturned in your quest fo find Merra, your true love…
“Ghost of a Tale” looks interesting!
It does, I agree!
