Gaming News weekend 43

This week news about Where Cards Fall, celebrating 30 Years of Fire Emblem, an exclusive Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee Nintendo Switch, Code Realize ~ Wintertide Miracles~  and Who Wants to be a Millionaire coming to Switch, a Halloween Pattern in ACNH and the Gust Calendar 2021.

Build Houses out of Cards

Where Cards Fall, the narrative puzzler from developer The Game Band, is coming to the Switch in early 2021. In Where Cards Fall, you will navigate your character through the highs and lows of growing up, graduating high school, and attending college. And at the core of all of this is an interesting puzzle mechanic. You have to construct houses of cards throughout each level in order to navigate the terrain and overcome obstacles. Check out the trailer to see how it works, looks good! The game was originally released exclusively on Apple Arcade back in September 2019, and is now making the jump to PC and the Switch.

Celebrate 30 Years of Fire Emblem

Fire Emblem Three Houses brought a lot of new fans to the Fire Emblem series, as did Fire Emblem Heroes on mobile. You’d almost forget that this series has been around for 30 years now! Nintendo announced it is localizing the original Fire Emblem NES game. Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light is headed to the Nintendo Switch. It will launch on December 4, 2020 for $5.99.

However, it’s a timed release: you will only be able to download and buy the game until March 31, 2021. The original game was remade for both the Super Famicom and the Nintendo DS as Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, respectively. But the Super Famicom version was never released outside of Japan, while the DS game was released worldwide. Never got to know Marth? Here’s your chance!

In this third part of the Code: Realize series, ~Wintertide Miracles~ invites fans to join the poison-skinned heroine Cardia Beckford on further adventures with a team of famous (and famously handsome) figures from Western literature as they face new challenges, new friends and foes, and new opportunities for love.

Halloween Pattern to Scare Pumpkin Jack

With Halloween getting close, Paula alerted me to this tweet: always surprised at people’s creativity! Looks lovely, to isn’t that the right sentiment for the scariest day of the year?

Gust Calendar 2021

Where Atelier games used to be a series that weren’t very well known, I’m guessing Atelier Ryza has really made an impact in the popularity of these Simulations RPG’s. With Atelier Ryza 2 coming next year, Koei Tecmo and Gust’s online store, the Gust Shop, is selling several new items to ring in the new year. The calendar looks very nice for the fans, it features artwork from six different Gust series: Ciel Nosurge, Atelier Sophie, Augmented Reality Girls Trinary, Ar Tonelico 2, Atelier Ryza 2, and even Nights of Azure.
