Free Switch Trial for Rune Factory 4 Special

With the weekend making for more gaming time, you may just have some free fun ahead: Europe now has an offer for Nintendo Online Members. The Rune Factory 4 Special Switch trial is available to sample. Not a demo, but the real gameplay. I don’t think you will be able to finish the game in the limited time, but still: progress will carry over should you buy the game. The offer is available between  November 4-10, 2020.

This trial was available in Japan last week, so who knows, America could be next!

Out of Space is Coming

A nice looking strategy co-op is coming to the Switch (and the Xbox and PS4) called Out of Space: Couch Edition. The game invites you to move into a new home with your friends – in space! Clean up, furnish the rooms and work out housekeeping systems, all while trying to get rid of pesty alien critters that are ruining your plans for a dream home.

As a couch-fun game, Out of Space: Couch Edition offer short sessions so easy that anyone can just grab a controller and have fun immediately. Each match starts in a procedurally generated spaceship house that will demand your best planning and teamwork skills to become clean and comfy. You and your friends will need to generate resources, recycle trash and alien goo, buy and build new technologies, and take care of one another if you ever want to call home the mess that you got into.

In For a Virtual Trip?

With pretty much no where to go in this Covid crisis, it may be a nice idea to take a virtual look behind the scenes to see the orchestra behind the music of Civilization VI – New Frontier Pass!

Drawn to Life: Two Realms

Remember the Drawn to Life game when it first released on the DS in 2007? It was quite something, to be able to draw things to use in the game yourself back then. Now, 505 Games has announced that Drawn to Life: Two Realms will be heading to the Switch (and PC and mobile) on 7th December this year. The next instalment in the Drawn to Life franchise comes with a new creation tool, fan favourite characters, over 100 new challenges and more. Here’s the trailer:

Combining Gameplay of Bridge Constructor with The Walking Dead

Expect a new puzzle game where Bridge Constructor (the review for the original game is here) will be combined with the post-apocalyptic universe of AMC’s The Walking Dead. And it’s coming to Switch (and Xbox, PS4, PC and mobile)

Join a group of survivors as they fight against hordes of undead walkers and a hostile human community. Build bridges and other constructions through bleak landscapes and ruined structures. Team up with fan-favorite characters like Daryl, Michonne and Eugene, and create safe passage for iconic vehicles from the series. Use movable level objects, explosives and baits to your advantage as you lure walkers into lethal traps and guide your survivors to safety. Enjoy the physics-based frenzy and ragdoll animations as walkers succumb to the forces of gravity.

There will be three more collections coming in early 2021.

Star Renegades is Coming to the Switch

A couple of months ago James gave the PC version of Star Renegades our highest rating: Two Thumbs Up! So, good news that RawFury is going to bring the game to consoles, thus to the Switch as well. On November 25 you will be able to play the game.

James concluded that Star Renegades is a beautiful looking futuristic game with fun memorable characters and deep tactical gameplay to match. Star Renegades is about taking down the evil robotic force of the Imperium. A highly dangerous and difficult enemy that excels at wiping you and your band of heroes out. Want to check out his review?
