Come on in my friend, and get yourself a nice cup of coffee or tea! It was a week with lots of E3 news, though as far as I’m concerned it wasn’t exactly exiting.
If you want to read about my impressions, you will find them here:
Elder Scrolls everywhere you look
Where is the light hearted stuff?
Still, there are enough little news snippets to share, so let’s get to chatting about Handheld Gaming News.
Pikachu is a jack of all trades
Pokémon Stand is a new Pokémon vending machine that is now available at various Pokémon Centers, as well as several airports and other places in Japan, and Pikachu will be appearing on the screen to guide and recommend plushies to people passing by. News snippets like this one really want me to visit the land of the rising sun!

Bad Robot goes into video games
Normally this snippet of news wouldn’t have caught my attention. But we are binge-watching the series Lost at the moment (yeah, I know, hard to believe we never watched it before) and after every episode I see the logo for Bad Robot. So I thought I’d share this with you, might bring us good games in the future.
The announcement came on Thursday by Bad Robot president and COO Brian Weinstein, where it was announced that Bad Robot Games would be formed in partnership with Tencent. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will also be a minority investor. Bad Robot Games will focus on developing games by Abrams and Bad Robot. Tencent will have the distribution rights to all the studio’s games in Asia.
Nintendo Labo inspired arcade cabinet kit
Third-party video game accessories manufacturer Nyko revealed a new Nintendo Labo-inspired buildable arcade cabinet kit that allows you to attach two Joy-Con controllers as joy sticks. It will go for $19.99 when it releases on November 27, 2018. It is currently available for pr-order on Amazon.
The way this is going, we will need an extra house to put all the cardboard in. But it does look good!
Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists
I am a big fan of Gusts’ Atelier series, but I was disappointed with Atelier Lydie & Suelle (which was the first Atelier game to come the Switch). So just when I was thinking that I might just let the next one pass by, they announce Nelke and the Legendary Alchemists.
Nelke is a noblewoman who is bursting with curiosity. Due to a certain event, she’s been left in charge of building and developing a remote town known as Vestbalt. Nelke will do everything she can for her task, but will also get some help from some tremendously talented individuals.
They are introducing a town building part! Vestbalt is a quiet place surrounded by nature and not much else…As you progress with the town development, it’ll eventually grow into a city with various buildings. Earn money and develop the town, and earn some more money. By doing so the town will continue to grow. Now that does sound interesting!
New Fire Emblem for the Switch
In last weeks Nintendo Smash Direct we saw a brief snippet of news about the new upcoming Fire Emblem for the Switch. The Fire Emblem: Three Houses game takes place on Fódlan, where the Church of Seiros exercises great power over the land and its people. This turn-based tactical RPG will put new strategic twists on battling, with formations of troops supporting individual units on the battlefield.
These are the key features:
- A traditional turn-based tactical RPG that puts new twists on strategic battling. Now when the player maneuvers a unit, formations of troops move with them and support them in battle.
- In some parts, the player can move the main character freely, and interact with other characters, and gather information.
- The game is set in a new world—Fodlan, where the Church of Seiros exercises great power over the land and people.
- Your protagonist meets three main characters—Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude—who play important roles in the story.

Shocking Yo-Kai Watch news expected
There’s a new Yo-Kai Watch title coming and it is not Yo-Kai Watch 4, which has already been announced. The developer Level-5 will be revealing the game in a special live broadcast to celebrate the franchises 5th anniversary. The event will be happening on 27th June 2018 and Level-5 says is said to “shock the world”. This special event will be broadcast on YouTube at 12:00 JST.
Those are big words, shock the world! We’ll see…
That’s it for this week. A busy week in the world of gaming, time to get back to really playing games!
Happy Gaming Weekend!
[I am always going all over the place to ask…] Where is Snack World Trejarers (every time I see Level-5 Mentioned, lol! Sorry Yvo!)
Speaking Of Yokai watch….. There will be a new movie coming out in Dec YokaiWatch Forever Friends. You can read it here http://www.asahi.com/ajw/articles/AJ201708050003.html
The newest Yokai Watch in the making will be darker. I would love to play it, but I am not sure if I want to import it like I did with all the Yokai game anymore.
I’ve all but stopped playing Japanese games. There’s just so many good English games out and I have previous little gaming time anyway. Something had to give!
Is the movie the exiting news Level 5 was hinting at?
