A Storied Life: Tabitha

A Storied Life: Tabitha logo on a background of a house. Published on LadiesGamers

A Storied Life: Tabitha is a cosy narrative game about memory, legacy, discovery, and joy.

SooziQ gave us her thoughts on the Steam demo, before Kalina uncovered more memories and secrets in A Storied Life: Tabitha, concluding:

A Storied Life: Tabitha is, without a doubt, a charming game, even with its somewhat heavy subject. While part of life, the topic of death and what we leave behind is never easy. Still, the game manages the topic with grace. It turns something heartbreaking into something positive, showing that we always leave something behind in the relationships we forge and the people who love us.
If you are in the mood for a thoughtful and wholesome narrative puzzle game, I urge you to try A Storied Life: Tabitha. I think there’s no reason you won’t like it as much as I did.

Find your way in a world of breezy, thoughtful puzzles, along a charming journey of self-discovery.

Paula took on the challenge of Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure

Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure is a game focused on the core experience of exploration and puzzle-solving. It brings a refreshing twist to the RPG genre. Its innovative grid system, storytelling, and visuals make it a standout title for me on the Nintendo Switch.

The game’s unique approach to movement, exploration, and combat, combined with its story, ensures that it will leave a lasting impression on players. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or new to the genre, Arranger is an adventure worth embarking on.

Boxville 2

Promotional image for Boxville 2 showing a red can holding onto the leg of a green can, who, in turn, is clinging to a lit firework. There is a city and ocean backdrop, with a small desert island at the centre. Published on LadiesGamers.

Boxville 2 continues the adventure of cans living in a box city. Two friends were setting up fireworks for the city celebration, but a mistake caused chaos and one friend went missing

I helped Red Can in Boxville 2. Not only is there a demo available, but we’ve got a full guide to all the puzzles.

Boxville 2 is a delight from start to finish. The hand-drawn graphics are beautiful, and although a couple of the puzzles are frustrating, most give that satisfactory ‘yes’ when solved.

Curious, but not sure? Check out the demo for Boxville 2 in the eShop.

Henry Halfhead

Have you ever wanted to be a bed? Or an apple? Here comes Henry!

Mina took Henry Halfhead on an adventure

In my opinion, Henry Halfhead is perfect. It has the same colorful, cartoon vibe as games like Wattam and Fruitbus while being something unique. I adore this game, and I hope you have the time to experience Henry Halfhead for yourself!

Love, Ghostie

Become a wholesome ghost matchmaker and grow relationships between the manor’s residents!

Kalina played matchmaker in Love, Ghostie

Love, Ghostie is a very cute and cozy game. It is somewhat short but has a lot of replayability potential. We have 12 characters to mix and match, which makes for up to 65 potential couples and storylines. With its pleasant music and cute characters, as well as skip dialogue options, it makes for a very relaxing and fun afternoon playthrough.

Minami Lane

Bubble letters spell out Minami Lane with a tanuki wearing a hat standing next to it. Published on: LadiesGamers

Build your own street in this tiny cozy, casual management sim.

Kalina took a stroll down Minami Lane

Minami Lane is easily one of the cutest and most “coziest” games I’ve ever played. From the moment I started it, I was immediately reminded of another cozy favourite of mine – Capybara Spa, but to be honest, Minami Lane is easily the better game. It perfectly balances challenge and cuteness with enough quirkiness and cats to satisfy any cozy games fan. My only gripe is that someone should’ve warned me to get a bubble tea to have on hand while playing Minami Lane.

Minishoot’ Adventures

An adventure that mixes up open exploration with twin-stick shooter action

James went exploring in Minishoot’ Adventures

Minishoot’ Adventures manages to combine two genres in a way that feels natural and engaging. By blending open exploration with shmup-style twin-stick shooting, it offers something that stands apart from the usual action-adventure formula.

The flexible upgrade system, accessible difficulty options and rewarding sense of discovery make it easy to recommend to a wide audience. Whether you enjoy skilful shooters or simply want a relaxed adventure to explore at your own pace, there’s plenty here to love.

It’s creative, energetic and consistently fun to return to. By the time I finished my time with it, I was already thinking about jumping back in for another flight.

Strange Antiquities

An occult puzzle game.

Kalina returned to Undermere in Strange Antiquities

Strange Antiquities is a welcome return to the moody town of Undermere. It is what you would like from a cozy game for Autumn – strange artefacts, quirky characters, a moody soundtrack, a cat you can pet, and of course, an overarching mystery to solve.

Terra Nil

Promotional artwork for Terra Nil, with a mountain scene. Published on LadiesGamers

Terra Nil is a game about transforming a barren, lifeless landscape into a thriving, vibrant ecosystem. Turn dead soil into fertile grassland, clean polluted oceans, plant sprawling forests, and create the ideal habitat for animals to call home. Then recycle your buildings and leave no trace that you were there. Reclaim the wasteland

Paula had her feet firmly on the ground in Terra Nil

Terra Nil is a game that will make you aware of how important the balance of nature is. And how each living thing on the earth connects to each other. It doesn’t lecture, but its gameplay does make you think about the environment. It is a well-thought-out restoration game with relaxing gameplay, gorgeous visuals, and a nice challenge.

A photo adventure

TOEM clicked with Mina:

I love this game. I love TOEM so much. It’s sweet, adorable, funny and full of fun and interesting NPCs to meet and take photos of. The world may be in black and white, but it’s lovingly detailed and wonderfully rendered. The music is wonderful and there are a lot of thoughtful details to make players love it even more. Two thumbs up for TOEM!

Venba

Venba title page. Published on: LadiesGamers

Cook delicious South-Indian food and experience the journey of an immigrant family in Venba!

Baked with love, led Kalina to give Venba ‘Two Thumbs Up’:

Venba is a great game and has an even more remarkable story. It gives us a brief glimpse at what an immigrant family goes through, the hardships and the joys. Venba also gives us an idea of how difficult it is to find the balance between adapting, fitting in, and still hanging on to your culture. It also touches on the universal idea that our children will not lead the life we do. This game has much humanity in the interactions between Venba and Paavalan, them and Kavin, the family, and the outside world. There are also simple moments of humor and love that feel so real that they could be someone’s memory.

While Venba is short, it is also long enough to do what it sets out to do: tell us a story and make us want to hug our parents.

Wobbledogs

Promotional image for Wobbledogs showing two dogs with rectangular bodies and thin legs. Published on LadiesGamers

Raise your own hive of mutating dogs, physically simulated down to their guts!

We kept our balance in Wobbledogs

Wobbledogs is odd. Dogs sprout extra limbs, burst from cocoons, and return as ghosts, but none of these aspects feels macabre. Instead, they are marvellously whimsical. There’s always something new happening. Dogs develop personalities, learn tricks, build dens, and play with toys. The breeding mechanics are also surprisingly deep, and while the gameplay loop can get repetitive during long sessions, it’s still solidly entertaining. This world feels alive and customizable, with a perfect balance between randomness and control. Now that Wobbledogs is finally out of early access, I can wholeheartedly recommend it for fans of the sandboxes, pet sims, and all things wobbly
