A Tale for Anna

This colorful fairytale A Tale for Anna will transport you to an enchanting, mysterious world full of puzzles, magical creatures, and secrets.
Mina battled against the evil wizard in A Tale for Anna
A Tale for Anna is a short, sweet six-hour game filled to the brim will hidden objects and mini-games. It’s bright, colorful, and a lot of fun. This is probably the best hidden object game I have ever played. I was surprised by how charming and lovingly crafted it was. An excellent game for the genre!

Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The First Cases

Discover the early cases of the legendary detective Hercule Poirot.
Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The First Cases also got the LadiesGamers ‘I like it a Lot’ rating:
The collection of mystery games available on the Switch is slowly rising as the years pass. It can be very hard to find a good mystery game. A good mystery needs to hook you in. Keeps you guessing while also encouraging you to press on, and satisfy you with its ending as everything is tied together.
While there can still be a few lingering questions, the major ones had better be answered. And if you are going the route of incorporating gameplay, it needs to be interactive and engaging enough. With The First Cases, this is a mystery game done very well. The storytelling is tight, doesn’t overstay its welcome, and has a nice mix of twists while also keeping everything believable.

Ghost of a Tale

Explore a medieval world as a minstrel mouse
Paula was a quiet as a mouse reviewing Ghost of a Tale:
Ghost of a Tale has charming characters, lore, and brilliant storytelling. All together they provide an immersive world for the player to get lost in. While it does have a few little hiccups with the graphics, it is not enough to spoil the gameplay.
Ghost of a Tale is a lovely game with a meaningful story. With a great cast of characters, a game all enthusiasts of adventure, role-playing genres should try.

Luna’s Fishing Garden

Luna’s Fishing Garden is a short, cozy fishing and building game. Catch fish, trade it in and create the garden of your dreams!
James went fishing in Luna’s Fishing Garden
Luna’s Fishing Garden doesn’t reinvent things when it comes to game design. But the game’s strength lies in its heart. The entire time I played this game I smiled at Cassie’s adorable face when she caught a fish. I also felt so relaxed playing this experience. This game might just be the current equivalent of video game meditation. No challenge, just a good feeling guaranteed through its simple, short but lovely experience.

We reviewed Mari and Bayu: The Road Home on Steam, concluding:
Playing this game only gave me enjoyment, with brief moments of thoughtfulness and challenging problems to solve. It kept me quite entertained and the end of each stage made me curious about the next one. It has co-op which seems like a great experience to have with a friend. I would firmly recommend accompanying Mari and Bayu on their journey and playing this game, especially if you enjoy a serene yet challenging platformer adventure with a nice story and charming aesthetics.

Plantabi: Little Garden

Plantabi is a chill sandbox game where you take care of adorable plants and design the cozy little garden of your dreams!
Mina liked Plantabi: Little Garden a lot
Plantabi: Little Garden is super fun, cozy, cute, and gives you a lot of freedom. I like the plants, I like the Cookie Clicker aspects of it, and the music is fabulous. If the tutorial were a little bit more robust, I would absolutely adore this plant-centric title.

Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova

A black hole threatens a new species existence, it’s up to Dal and Gwyn to save their crew and the entire planetary system.
Boldly going into space, I liked Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova a lot
For some, the game might be a bit prescriptive. But it’s based on an animated children’s TV programme, so it needs to be playable and enjoyable for that audience. This would be a great introduction to the adventure puzzle genre for younger players. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed playing it. I didn’t need to know anything about the TV series to engage fully with Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova.

A photo adventure
TOEM clicked with Mina:
I love this game. I love TOEM so much. It’s sweet, adorable, funny and full of fun and interesting NPCs to meet and take photos of. The world may be in black and white, but it’s lovingly detailed and wonderfully rendered. The music is wonderful and there are a lot of thoughtful details to make players love it even more. Two thumbs up for TOEM!

Venba

Cook delicious South-Indian food and experience the journey of an immigrant family in Venba!
Baked with love, lead Kalina to give Venba ‘Two Thumbs Up’:
Venba is a great game and has an even more remarkable story. It gives us a brief glimpse at what an immigrant family goes through, the hardships and the joys. Venba also gives us an idea of how difficult it is to find the balance between adapting, fitting in, and still hanging on to your culture. It also touches on the universal idea that our children will not lead the life we do. This game has much humanity in the interactions between Venba and Paavalan, them and Kavin, the family, and the outside world. There are also simple moments of humor and love that feel so real that they could be someone’s memory.
While Venba is short, it is also long enough to do what it sets out to do: tell us a story and make us want to hug our parents.
