Escape from Mystwood Mansion Release

On March 19th, mysterious adventure Escape from Mystwood Mansion is coming to Switch (the game is already out on Steam). This puzzle game traps you inside a grand yet eerie mansion. With the door locked behind you, your only option is to explore, solve intricate puzzles, and uncover hidden secrets. Each room presents new challenges, codes to decipher, and interactive 3D objects that could hold vital clues.

A dynamic hint system ensures you never get completely stuck, and multiple endings add to the replay value. Up to you to escape, or will you stay trapped in the mansion forever?

The courtyard is bathed in warm sunlight, with white archways and terracotta tiles creating a serene atmosphere. Framed butterfly illustrations adorn the walls, and a butterfly-shaped carving is visible on a pillar. A small fountain surrounds the tree, while green vines and potted plants add to the tranquil setting. Published on: LadiesGamers.
Chibig Kickstarter Elusive

Chibig is launching a Kickstarter for Elusive, an adventure game with Metroidvania elements that puts you in the tiny shoes of Zoe, exploring the vast world of humans. Zoe is one of the Elusives, tiny creatures who live in our homes while staying hidden, and an extra special one too: She is a Raider, the most daring of Elusives, always looking for adventure and seeking treasure. They are quick and stealthy, using Guard Cloaks to keep them hidden and invisible to the eyes of humans and predators.

As Zoe, you’ll navigate a sprawling haunted house, uncover secret tunnels, gather treasure, and craft useful items. Stealth is key, as humans and predators pose a constant threat. Along the way, you’ll meet other adventurers and merchants, forming friendships that will help you on your journey.

Sounds good right? The Kickstarter starts on March 5th and can be found here. Elusive is planned for the Switch, Steam, PS5, and Xbox X series.

A scene from Elusive shows the protagonist Zoe, a small figure with a blue leafy headpiece and a donut-shaped mask, standing in shallow water. They face a character perched on a floating leaf, dressed in a blue skirt with pink hair styled in large puffs. The environment is filled with oversized flowers and glowing blue plants, with a large barred window casting light into the dark space. Published on: LadiesGamers.

Wholesome Ranch Life in Wind Story

Two-person indie team BluSped Studio has announced that Wind Story, a pixel-style simulation RPG, is coming soon to Steam and Nintendo Switch. In this relaxing farm-life adventure, you’ll take over Wind Chime Ranch, where you can grow crops, raise animals and fish, and even dance by a lakeside bonfire.

As you expand the ranch, you can build accommodations, windmills, and restaurants to attract visitors, transforming the peaceful retreat into a bustling resort. There’s plenty of freedom to explore when you want to do something different than tending the farm, from mining resources and crafting meals to taming pets that help with daily tasks. You can even battle monsters to protect your land and even mutate crops to fight off pirates!

The colorful environment and warm lighting create a cozy, storybook-like atmosphere. Published on: LadiesGamers.

Chibig Celebrates 8 Years with Sales

Sales are going on across all platforms to celebrate Chibig’s 8th birthday this year.

It’s been 8 years since we started developing video games. These are stories where we have put our best efforts into art and narrative, with charming characters that spread our values and that you will never forget.

Now, these adventures share the same universe, sometimes because of the world, sometimes because of the characters, but with their voice and soul, so you don’t need to play them in a particular order.

As we have followed all Chibig games closely ever since the release of Summer in Mara and even interviewed them a few years back, this looks like an interesting sale. It lasts from March 7th (7:00 pm CET) to March 13th (7:00 pm CET), and here’s the Steam Page with all the details. But don’t forget to check the prices on your favourite consoles.

Podcast How to Pitch Games

tinyBuild, the indie publisher behind Hello Neighbor, Graveyard Keeper, and Potion Craft, has launched a new video podcast series called How to Pitch Games. This series aims to help indie developers refine their pitches and present their projects to publishers.

Now, I know this usually isn’t the kind of news we bring to you. Still, each episode features up-and-coming developers showcasing their unreleased games to a panel of industry experts, including members of tinyBuild’s publishing team. So you’ll get a sneak peek at some new indie titles and, meanwhile, learn something about how games get pitched. The first episode highlights BabushCats, a cozy game about running a grandma-operated cat shelter, and Floating Factory, a factory-building puzzle game from a Ukrainian studio making its development debut.

Check out the podcast; very interesting to listen to while going about your daily business!

A presentation slide from "How to Pitch Games by tinyBuild" discusses the game pillars, highlighting "Compact Automation Puzzles," "Casual & Accessible" gameplay, and "Gradual Complexity." The slide includes three in-game screenshots depicting a colorful, isometric world with buildings and landscapes. On the right, four speakers—Corey Caplan, Kirill Mukhin, Tom Brien, and Vladimir Tolmachev—are shown in video call windows, each labeled with their names and affiliations. The presentation has an orange-themed background with the "HTPG" logo at the bottom. Published on: LadiesGamers.

Free Update for Core Keeper

The Bags & Blasts update for Core Keeper arrives as a free content update on Monday, March 10th, bringing new challenges, quality-of-life improvements, and new gameplay mechanics to all platforms.

This update introduces the Oasis, a sun-soaked sub-biome within The Desert of Beginnings, where you’ll encounter the adorable, camel-like Drohmble. Raising these creatures will grant you a valuable (and rather stinky) resource for crafting powerful new weapons. You’ll also face one of Core Keeper’s biggest boss battles yet against Nimruza, Queen of the Burrowed Sands—a massive super cicada ready to put your skills to the test.

If you like a bit of chaos, the new Explosives skill tree brings eight new skills, new bomb types like the vacuum-pulling Void Bomb and the multi-blast Blunder Bomb, and a brand-new grenade weapon type. Plus, the long-awaited Pouches feature makes inventory management easier by allowing you to store ore, seeds, fish, and valuables in separate, dedicated spaces.

It seems like a good time to return to Core Keeper. When James reviewed the game, he liked it a lot, saying it’s a must-have for survival game fans: Core Keeper may not reinvent the survival genre, but it certainly adds its own charm and sense of wonder to it.

A red-haired adventurer with glowing green gauntlets runs forward with determination, while a variety of creatures, including goats and a small, frightened traveler carrying a sack, follow behind. In the background, a massive glowing explosion illuminates giant insect-like enemies, creating a dramatic contrast between the warm golden light and the cool purple storm clouds. The game's title is prominently displayed in a stylized, glowing font at the top. Published on: LadiesGamers.

Release Date for Spilled!

If you love cozy games with a purpose, Spilled! Might be for you. Developed by Lente, who lives on a boat herself, this wholesome clean-up game will be released on Steam on March 26th for $6.99 (regional prices may vary).

In Spilled!, you’ll take control of a boat to clean up oil spills, recycle waste, and earn coins to upgrade your vessel. As you progress, you’ll unlock new areas with more challenges, keeping the gameplay fresh and satisfying.

Lente started developing Spilled! in late 2022, inspired by her own maritime lifestyle. After a slow start, the game gained momentum, and in early 2024, her Kickstarter campaign was a massive success, raising €31.600, more than three times her original goal. Now, the game is ready to launch, bringing its relaxing and rewarding clean-up mechanics to players worldwide.

A pixel art scene from Spilled! shows a polluted river with dark oil slicks floating on the water. A red cleanup boat is navigating through the contamination, working to remove the pollution. A large recycling barge, equipped with solar panels and smokestacks, floats nearby, displaying a score of "16" on its side. Surrounding the river, lush green hills with wind turbines, flowers, and small wooden docks create a contrast to the polluted water. Published on: LadiesGamers.

My Little Universe On All Consoles

My Little Universe is heading to more platforms while already a hit on Switch and mobile. The game will launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5|4, and PC via the Microsoft Store on April 4th, 2025.

In My Little Universe, you’ll gather resources across ten vibrant planets, unlocking new lands and upgrading tools along the way. But it’s not all peaceful exploration. Dangerous creatures like Yetis, skeletons, and giant bosses stand between you and the riches of the universe. There’s plenty to build, battle, and discover in this sandbox adventure, as Paula discovered in her review. She gave it our highest rating, saying:

My Little Universe is a wholesome, relaxing game for those who want the thrill of exploring and collecting infinite resources. Suitable for all ages in the family, it also has a very addictive gameplay loop and watching Orangey go to work and swing his tools is brilliant.

A screenshot from My Little Universe displays a spherical world divided into hexagonal tiles of various colors, representing different biomes. Some tiles are locked, while others contain resources or structures. A character is positioned near the center, surrounded by pathways and interactive elements. The top of the screen shows resource counts, and navigation options appear at the bottom. Published on: LadiesGamers.
