This week, we have news about Little Sim World coming to Early Access, LadiesGamers Featured in a RedFin Article and Free Steam Weekend for Dinkum. A free update set in Copenhagen for Mini Motorways, Nintendo Switch 2 revealed, and Survival Kids is a launch title for the Switch 2. A release date for The Electrifying Incident and for Hanako’s Flower Shop. Marvelous Games Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar and Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will also be on Switch 2.
Little Sim World Coming to Early Access
Four years ago we found a game in the works for Steam that looked so sweet that we wrote about it, hoping that it would eventually come to the Switch as well. Kind of ambitious of us really, as Little Sim World, as it’s called, still needed a lot of work still to get in the Early Access stage on Steam.
But now it’s time: Little Sim World, developed by BGS Studios, is coming to Early Access on May 1st. Set in the heart of London, Little Sim World is a cozy 2D Life Simulator that reshapes how players engage with their surroundings.
You will move into your snug little home and start exploring a bustling, open city—no loading screens, just a seamless adventure! Stroll through lively streets filled with NPCs, busy shops, and delightful hangouts like Simon’s Pub, Moon Coffee, or the Let’s Go Grocery Store. Want to cast a line at the canal, hit the gym, or curl up in the library? The city is full of spots designed to match your mood.
Your tiny character is yours to shape from head to toe—pick their style, personality, and traits that evolve as your sim grows. Decorate and upgrade your home, experiment with layouts, or upcycle furniture to sell at the pawn shop. And don’t forget to care for your little human’s needs. Everything from hunger to comfort and happiness matters, as well as the dynamic weather. Sounds and looks good!

LadiesGamers Featured in a RedFin Article
We tend to give a lot of attention to indie games and their Steam pages. But now and again it’s fun too that we ourselves get featured ourselves! That’s why I wanted to share that LadiesGamers were featured in a Redfin article!

Might as well try to reach an audience that isn’t aware yet that playing video games can be a great way to relax!

Free Steam Weekend for Dinkum
From April 3 to April 7, you’ll be able to jump into the cozy-yet-wild life sim Dinkum completely free during Steam’s Free Weekend event. If you decide it’s your kind of adventure, you can also grab it at a 20% discount during the event.
Developed by solo Australian creator James Bendon, Dinkum first launched in Early Access on Steam back in July 2022. Since February 2025, KRAFTON has taken over global publishing and operations.
Set on a charming island inspired by the Australian outback, Dinkum lets you gather, hunt, fish, mine, and build the town of your dreams.

Free Update Set in Copenhagen for Mini Motorways
The minimalist traffic management sim Mini Motorways is heading to Europe in its latest free update, Spires and Tires. This new content brings a charming new map set in Copenhagen, Denmark, complete with colourful homes, scenic waterways, and a skyline dotted with spires. As a nod to the city’s eco-friendly spirit, train lines make their return for the first time since the 10-year Miniversary Update.
Alongside the Copenhagen map, you’ll find updates to Cinema Mode, which now offers an improved way to view your city planning skills in action. The update also includes new Daily, Weekly, and City challenges, additional achievements, and performance improvements. And for those who love a good easter egg, keep your eyes open for a fun visual nod to the city’s architecture.
The Spires and Tires update is now available on Apple Arcade, Nintendo Switch, and PC and Mac via Steam.

Nintendo Switch 2 Revealed
If you are a handheld gamer like I am, you have probably seen the Nintendo Direct dedicated to the new Nintendo Switch 2. It will be released on June 5, 2025 for a price point of US $449.99, EU € 469,99 and UK £395.99. I must admit this is higher than I had expected.
The new chat function, while you are gaming with friends, is nice, as is the game share ability and the bigger screen. The titles that are available at launch don’t really tick any boxes for me, but being able to play GameCube games on the Switch 2 is awesome. Looking at you, Chibi Robo!

Survival Kids Launch Title Switch 2
KONAMI has announced that Survival Kids will return as a launch title for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. This reimagined version of the 1999 Game Boy Color classic is being developed in collaboration with Unity, bringing the survival adventure into a new era with modern co-op gameplay and tech-savvy features.
In Survival Kids, you’ll step into the shoes of four young explorers stranded on a chain of mysterious islands perched on the backs of giant sea creatures called Whurtles. Whether playing solo or teaming up with up to three friends in local or online co-op, you’ll chop trees, cook meals, fish, and solve puzzles to stay alive. The new version is designed to make teamwork easier and more fun, with enhanced crafting systems and a streamlined interface that removes the need for inventory management.
Exclusively available on Nintendo Switch 2, the game will take full advantage of the console’s new communication and game-sharing features. From couch co-op to online adventures, Survival Kids encourages players to work together for the best survival experience. With colourful visuals, a playful soundtrack, and accessible gameplay, it will be a welcoming journey for gamers of all ages.

Release Date: The Electrifying Incident
The Electrifying Incident has a release date: April 15 on Steam! With the monster from A Monster’s Expedition you will explore a mysterious facility and manipulate the many electrical hazards and locked doors to find a way deeper, towards the source of the problem. Your only tool: a mechanical grabber-arm allowing you to lift and move boxes from afar. And as the reactor is malfunctioning, it could go into meltdown at any moment!

Release Date for Hanako’s Flower Shop
Hanako’s Flower Shop has a release-date: April 25 on Steam. This cosy flower shop management visual novel blends heartfelt storytelling with resource management gameplay.
In Hanako’s Flower Shop, you’ll step into the shoes of Hanako, a young woman navigating life’s challenges while taking over her grandfather’s cherished flower shop. Each flower holds meaning, and every bouquet offers a chance to heal and connect—a warm, reflective experience wrapped in gentle visuals and soothing gameplay.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma Also on Switch 2
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will release on the same day as the Switch 2, June 5th, 2025. Of course, it’ll also be released on Steam and the current Switch.
The Switch 2 version will have higher resolution with improved frame rates and Joy-Con 2 mouse controls for village building. Further, those who have pre-ordered the Nintendo Switch version of the game will be able to play on Switch 2 via the upgrade pack, but details have not been shared yet.
