Time again for some gaming news! This time, we cover several topics, like Reggie entering the Hall of Fame, Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training is back, a platformer character called Reggie, Code Realize ~ Future Blessings, Lethis: Path of Progress and Destiny Connect.
Dr. Kawashima returns
A title every DS gamer no doubt knows is Dr. Kawashima Brain Training. It was one of the first titles on the DS, and one that made adult gamers pay attention: a gaming device that wasn’t just for kids anymore but could do so much more!
Now, the Brain Age series is back for the Nintendo Switch. For now, the game has only been announced for Japan. Entering your answers on the touchscreen is done with the Stylus that is released on the same day as the game ( did I ever tell you I LOVE my DS stylus?) Plus, you answer your questions using the JoyCons IR camera.
It also supports features like setting an alarm for when it’s time to train again, share your results with friends and family, there’s a leader board and there are going to be tournaments. I guess they take Brain Training to the next age! Below is the trailer showing what you can do in the game. No Western release date yet, but I’ll be very surprised if we don’t get it over here too.

Reggie is inducted into the International Video Game Hall of Fame
Over the years, most of us have come to know and love Reggie Fils Aimee, who was President of Nintendo of America for years. This tweet caught my eye, apparently he has joined the Hall of Fame, in the International Video Game category.
Congratulations to @Reggie Former President of @NintendoAmerica for his induction into the International Video Game Hall of Fame for the @WalterDay Life Time Achievement Award. Presenting this prestigious award to him is none other than @EMP_TriForce_GM. https://t.co/CXAsAZL37g pic.twitter.com/wnvIZRTH7X

As I came into gaming late, he was the face of Nintendo of America since my earliest gaming days, along with Iwata of course. I loved the antics he got up too both in his live presentations at the E3 and at the Nintendo Direct or other promotional video’s. Somehow, he was always the first to make fun of himself. Below is a compilation, enjoy!
Staying on the topic of Reggie, but in a very different form
Dutch gaming company Degoma, founded by siblings Frank and Gloria Garcia, is making a platformer game, where the main character is another kind of Reggie. Resembling a tomato, this Reggie, has to find out what happened in the past. All of a sudden, no one remembers the twelfth century, it’s like it never happened. Despite the fact that it has taken place waaaay back in time, the loss of the twelfth century has dramatic consequences in the far future: Science appears not to be developed anymore, which consequently affects Reggie and his friends.

Reggie and his friends travel back in time to give a well-known scientist a nudge, which starts the adventure. In this gravity based platformer you travel back and forth in time to save science en of course, ultimately the universe. The humour in the game sounds ace! It’s still in development (first for Steam, and for consoles later) will contain powerups, collectable items, a local two player mode, etc. We will have to wait a while for the release date that is planned in 2021. Want to know more about the game? Find it here.

Code of Realize ~ Future Blessings for the Switch
More and more Otome games are landing on the Switch, like the upcoming Code Realize~Guardians of Rebirth. Now it seems we won’t just get the first of the series in Spring 2020, but we can also expect fan-game Future Blessings.
Future Blessing contains stories that both do and don’t allow you to make choices that alter the course of the story. There are “date” stories for Lupin, Frankenstein, Impey, Saint-Germain, and Van Helsing, which have no choices, and a Lupin’s Gang original story where you don’t get to make any decisions. However, the new routes for Finish and Herlock Sholmes both allow you to decide on Cardia’s actions and see different endings.
A must have for the fans, don’t you think?

Lethis – Path of Progress is coming to Switch
Another Steam game is coming to the Switch, an old school 2D city builder set in a Victorian Steampunk universe called Lethis. The reviews of the game are mixed, but as you know several of us here at LadiesGamers have a weakness for city builders. This is how the game is decribed:
“You will have to build and manage cities, provide resources for your inhabitants while making sure there are enough workers to sustain your production lines. Trade with others cities, honor the requests of the Emperor and make your citizens happy.”
The release date is October 24, and currently there’s an offer of -10% when you pre-order it. Hopefully we can have a review for you!
Destiny Connect: Tick-Tock Travellers
NIS America is bringing a brand new game to the Switch on October 22. An RPG combined with some time travelling. Sherry and her friends are the stars in this adventure unveiling the mystery behind why time has stopped in their beloved town of Clocknee.
I have the good fortune of giving the gave a spin to review it for you. From what I’ve seen so far, the game does deserve more attention then it is getting! But, enough said for now!
That’s it for this weekend, thanks for joining me!
I didn’t know about Reggie’s inclusion in the Hall of Fame! I love it!
Right? I wonder if Iwata is included too, should check into it.
He has to be in it as well.
