The start of a new week is upon us. Tonight, I have news about a new upcoming title guaranteed to take up even more of your precious time. As well as that, we have UK chart news, information about a new Tetris 99 tournament, and 4 Super Mario Maker 2 stages designed by the creator of a much acclaimed title.
Another Time-Consuming Game is Coming to Switch
Just incase you haven’t got enough games to play then there’s another which readers may want to add to their expanding library. Forager is a 2D open world game which is described as a cross between The Legend of Zelda, Terraria and Stardew Valley. It boasts favourable reviews across the board and is guaranteed to consume up any free time you have.
The games official description describes its key features as
- Gathering, collecting and managing resources.
- Crafting items & structures.
- Building bases and purchasing land
- Levelling up and learning new skills, abilities, and blueprints.
- Solving puzzles, finding secrets and raiding dungeons!
The game will be released via the eShop on 30th July.
Super Mario Maker 2 Storms to the Top of the Charts
It may have released just three days ago, but Super Mario Maker is selling extremely well in the UK. Mario’s latest title entered the charts straight at number 1! Surprisingly, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has also seen an impressive increase in sales. This week, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe moved up to 5th place in the sales chart. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has moved up eight spaces from 17 to 8. Other notable games in the UK top 20 are:

11 – The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild
14 – Crash Bandicoot N.Sane /Trilogy
18 – New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
Regarding Super Mario Maker 2…
Celeste creator Matt Thorson has been creating his own Super Mario Maker 2 levels. Celeste itself is a much-acclaimed title, well known for its superb story, level design, and tight controls. With this in mind, I’m sure players will be eager to try out his Mario Maker creations. The codes to Matt’s stages are as follows:

Splatoon themed Tetris 99 Competition Announced
Tetris 99 is probably the best reason right now to subscribe to Nintendo’s Online service. Tetris 99 takes the well known Tetris formula and turns it into a battle royal matchup where 99 players face off against each other. Players that manage to obtain 100 points will obtain a new Splatoon theme for Tetris 99.
