Some lovely statistics and a happy New Year!

First of all: at LadiesGamers we want to wish you a very happy 2019. Let’s have a great gaming year!

A couple of days ago I gave you the numbers for the reviews we did in 2018. There were 130 this year, though we squeezed in a mini review just yesterday. Which would make it a 131.

Number of articles published

I got some very positive feedback all the facts and figures from people who like seeing the statistics as much as I do. So I guess I might as well share some more with you, looking back at 2018.

We published 442 articles in 2018, the first months it was an average of one article every two days. But later on, it picked up to 50 articles a month. September and November were top months with two articles a day!

In total, 1.156 articles have been published since April 2014 on LadiesGamers!

Top articles by views

Isn’t it weird that it’s not always the newest articles that are viewed most? Ever since it was first published one article has been viewed most for three years in a row. The article I’m talking about is Top 15 Games for Girls of all ages. This year was no exception, and another older article was viewed very well too. It’s about Tongari Boushi to Mahou no Machi, the successor to Magicians Quest we never got in the West.

Lots of series were introduced

Of course, the site can’t be only about reviews and news. So a few recurring series were introduced in 2018.

• Game Sountracks We Love: Evriun takes us on a tour of soundtracks for a game they like (mainly on Nintendo devices), some may be old, but others are new.

• YvoCaro plays: my unedited thoughts, mostly game related, sometimes only remotely. Always thoughts I want to share with you

• Bags of Pick ‘n’ Mix: a team effort where we highlight games on a budget that can be picked up and played in short stints.

• Animal Crossing Memories: the game that most of the writer team has very fond memories about.

• Video Game Animated Adaptations: video games can lead into animated movies, as Paige has shown us.

We aren’t entirely sure yet that they will all come back in 2019 too. After all, we have to keep things interesting, newer ideas might be added too.
