Story of Seasons, Good Friends Of Three Villages

As promised when I told you about the successor to Story of Seasons being expected in the Summer of 2016 in Japan, I’ve found some more details on the internet from someone who can clearly read Japanese. The pages in the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu have been translated, so here is some more information about the upcoming game:

As the title already tells us, three villages surround your farm, so I guess you will have your work cut out for you if you want to socialise and find your dream-guy or girl. All three can be visited, will have their own shops and bachelors or bachelorettes. There’s Wes Town with a Western style, Tsuyukusa Village with a Japanese theme and Lulucoco Village which is a sort of tropical resort. Reminds me a bit of Tale of Two Towns, that had two very different styled towns too.

As we have come used to, you can choose your gender, skin and hair colour and eyes, nose etc. There will also be a selection of different pets that can be the your ‘soul pet’ which will mean it will live inside the your house. You will be able to take on a part time job to earn money helping out villagers. So I guess you will once again have your work cut out for you. Not enough time in a farmers’ day!

  1. You’re right, it does have a ToTT feel. I guess people can’t get enough of the “yin yang” that is Western vs Eastern culture. Hopefully the game designers decided to dial down the tedium; there’s no reason why I should have to supply the cloth to the tailor so she can make me clothes. She should have that already, right? She IS the tailor. Anyway, I know what I’m looking forward to: finding out what the bachelors look like.

    1. Haha, you’re right! In the last game you didn’t have to go to the trailer, your farm was pretty much self sufficient in that I had my own working shed where I could spin the wool, color it, make cloth out of it and then make the clothes. Eeek, not enough hours in every gaming day!

    1. Me too. I must admit that I don’t think I’ve ever played past season three, it gets to be too much of a chore by then. But I do love the way they are taking the series.
No I hadn’t heard about that, I’ll check it out!

        1. Relaxing, yes. But I do find that I just can’t walk around normally in Story of Seasons. I run around trying to cram everything in the day doing it as efficiently possible!
