It’s time for LadiesGamers’ weekly collection of wholesome gaming news! In the past two weeks, Mina and Margaret have taken over this news article (thanks!!), and it’s nice to see creativity has flowed, and they each did it a bit differently.
Now for the round-up for this week, we have news about a free game (which is always good!) called Consumption Line, there’s a free content update for Little Kitty, Big City, and Kickstarter Paws and Leaves is fully funded.
There are release dates for Yooka-Replaylee and Twinkleby. And though Kejora is delayed, there’s good news too: it’s coming to consoles.
There are interesting demos on Steam right now for Coffee Talk Tokyo and Swan Song, and Cozy Caravan gets a big update with loads of interior design options, but more importantly, the update also includes getting ready for Switch! Which is great news for this fan of Nintendo’s handheld, same as the fact that Camper Van is now available on Switch!
Free Game: Consumption Line
Free games are always nice, aren’t they? On September 1st, indie project Consumption Line launches on Steam. It’s short, about 30 minutes of playtime, experimental and artsy, so it sounds good, right? Consumption Line lets you step into the routine of a factory worker making soup.
The developers Rhombico describe it like this: “At first it feels simple, or even cozy. Choose ingredients, hit quotas, go home. But as the days go by, the recipe changes. Ingredients shift. The machines get faster. And the soup starts to feel… weird.”
Rest assured that the game is 100% free, with no ads or microtransactions!

Demo for Coffee Talk Tokyo
Coffee Talk Tokyo is brewing up something special, and you can get a taste right now! Horus Worldwide has dropped the V2 demo for the next standalone chapter in the beloved Coffee Talk series. You’ll find it live on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox, with a Nintendo Switch demo coming soon.
Set in a neon-soaked Tokyo café, Coffee Talk Tokyo is a cozy narrative adventure where you play the barista, serving drinks that shape conversations and steer heartfelt stories. The demo gives you the full Day 1, a glimpse of Day 2, and introduces new characters, all fully localised in nine languages, including English, Japanese, and Korean.
You can expect fresh features like sprinkle stencils for latte art, a lo-fi jazz soundtrack by Andrew “AJ” Jeremy, and a social feed called Tomodachill that lets you peek into your customers’ lives. With new faces like Kenji, the retired kappa, Vin the assistant, and Ayame the stylish spirit, this late-night refuge is ready to welcome you in.
And looking at the earlier instalments of Coffee Talk that we gave a high rating on LadiesGamers, this one will be totally worth it too!

Camper Van: Make it Home on Switch + Giveaway!
Despite other games choosing to delay their release because of the long-awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong, some went ahead and made their own splash anyway on September 4th. Which, if I’m honest, is fine by me as I won’t be playing Silksong anyway.
Camper Van: Make it Home has been released on Nintendo Switch today, and it’s a good game if you are going for more cozy vibes. Our writer Mina reviewed it on Steam this Summer, and wrote that Camper Van: Make it Home feels a lot like Unpacking to play. However, instead of a set perspective, Camper Van: Make it Home allows you to move freely around your little van as you decorate, look through, and move around all the objects in your home. As you continue to buy bigger and better camper vans, you get more space and have more objects to store away.
And don’t forget: there are a few days left for the giveaway of one Switch US eShop Key! We’re giving away the key exclusively to our Patrons on September 7, 2025, and all active members will be automatically entered.
We run LadiesGamers.com, where we cover cozy, indie, and handheld games with a more personal touch. Our Patreon helps keep the site going and lets us connect more closely with our readers, and occasionally, we like to say thank you with little giveaways like this.

Free Content Update for Little Kitty, Big City
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to dive back into Little Kitty, Big City, the Picture Purrfect Update is just the ticket. Released last week, this free content drop brings a bundle of new features to all platforms, including Steam, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
You are now able to customise your kitty with a new tool that lets you match fur colour, patterns, and even eye shape to your real-life feline companion. This colourful game now has even more charm packed in. You can explore new neighbourhoods, meet quirky characters, and have plenty of opportunities to stir up adorable chaos.
Lynne gave Little Kitty, Big City our highest rating, as you can read here!

Paws and Leaves – Kickstarter Fully Funded
Kickstarter campaign Paws and Leaves – A Last Tale! With a funding of almost 200% and 856 backers, it’s been a great success.
Developed by grownarts, Paws and Leaves looks like a beautifully melancholic game that invites you to walk in the paws of Me, a young fox on his final journey after a snake bite. Guided by a butterfly named Ani, you’ll explore a dreamlike world where memory and reality blur, uncovering secrets and keepsakes left by fellow backers. It’s shaping up to be a reflective experience about loss, hope, and the stories we leave behind.
After a rocky first attempt earlier in 2024, grownarts came back stronger this August with a clearer vision and a devoted community. And we are looking forward to the game!

Kejora Delayed and Coming to Consoles Too
Originally slated for release on 4th September 2025, Kejora has been pushed back to avoid clashing with Silksong. Seems to be a theme for other games too! The new launch date is 8th January 2026, but the good news is that you’ll be able to play it not only on Steam but also in the Epic Games Store and on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Kejora will invite you into a peaceful village hiding a quiet mystery. One you’ll uncover through exploration, puzzles, and teamwork. It looks like a colourful game with hand-drawn art that gives every environment and character a storybook charm. You’ll guide Kejora and her two companions, each with unique abilities, through platforming challenges and environmental puzzles that ask you to think, explore, and collaborate.
I must say, the graphics remind me of the wonderful Shin chan: Shiro and the Coal Town, though that is more of a simulation game than a platforming puzzle game. If you want to give Kejora a try, there’s currently a demo on Steam!

Release Date Yooka-Replaylee
Yooka-Replaylee, the remastered version of Playtonic’s collectathon, will launch on October 9th, 2025! The game will be launching on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Nintendo Switch 2!
The long-awaited indie love letter to golden age collectathon platformers launches across all platforms priced at £24.99 / 28,99€. A physical edition will also be released at retail for $49.99 SRP USD, with pre-orders already begun. The physical edition will feature enhanced packaging and a selection of bonus goodies exclusively for retail.
Already own the original Yooka-Laylee? As a thank-you to long-time fans, players who own the original game on a given platform will automatically receive 30% off when purchasing Yooka-Replaylee on that same platform (e.g., Nintendo Switch → Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation → PlayStation 5, Xbox One → Xbox Series X/S, etc).

Release Date for Twinkleby
Developed by Swedish studio Might & Delight, Twinkleby is set to launch on 23 September for PC, Mac, and Linux, with full support for the Steam Deck.
Set in a starry archipelago of floating islands, Twinkleby looks like a colourful decoration sim where you’ll furnish dollhouses, design lush gardens, and curate your own collection of antiques. But it’s not just about aesthetics; your choices will attract a cast of Neighbours, each with their own quirks. You’ll feed them, entertain them, and shape their surroundings to keep them happy. Or, if you fancy a fresh start, you can toss their furniture (and them) into space.
To get a feel for the game’s vibe, check out the Twinkleby Announcement Trailer, which introduces its whimsical world.

Swan Song Takes Flight
If you’re looking for a puzzle game that invites you to slow down and reflect, Swan Song might strike the right chord. Swan Song is developed by Belgian indie studio Business Goose Studios. Set inside a magical music box, each puzzle asks players to place notes on a musical scale. When you turn the key, the composition plays, activating platforms and opening paths that guide a small swan to safety.
It looks like a calming experience, with warm low-poly visuals and a gentle soundtrack by composer Jamal Green. Swan Song is a blend of clever puzzle design and quiet emotional storytelling, touching on themes of family, loss, and acceptance.
A playable demo is available now on Steam, offering a first look at the game’s atmosphere and mechanics. Check out the trailer here.

Big Cozy Caravan Update includes Getting Ready for Switch
Cozy Caravan is a game that I already loved when it launched in Early Access, and the developers have been chugging away, updating and adding to it. The new update is no exception, but most importantly, it also includes adjustments needed to release the game on Switch!
The latest update, v0.5.0, rolls out interior decor options for all caravan customisation packs. You can now make the inside of your caravan look just as good as the outside, by mixing and matching colours, style,s and themes to suit your mood.
Beyond the visual flair, you’ll spot a raft of quality-of-life upgrades and new accessibility features designed to make your journey smoother. You can read all the details here. The devs have also been busy under the bonnet, rebuilding the game to run better on other platforms — especially the Nintendo Switch!
