Welcome my friend, glad you have found my blog again. Do you have some time to chat gaming again in this weekly Handheld Gaming News? Let me get you a nice refreshment before we start.
I’ve said it more than once, but I’ll just say it again: amazing how quickly the year flies by. The leaves are falling again, in a short time it will be dark by the time I get home from work at night, and soon it will be time to put up the Christmas Tree. And our little Sammy is already 11 months old! While we wondered at first if we would ever get used to one another, having lived for 14 years with little Scotty, by now familiarity is setting in. She knows how our daily life works, and we understand why she does the things she does.
She loves going places with us and visiting my mom is an awesome time, even if she has to ride on my bike to do so, as you see in this picture! By the way: the flowers in the basket beside Sammy were for my mom, as it would have been her 61 year wedding anniversary had my dad still been alive.

Anyway, back to handheld gaming news:
Exclusive Charizard at Target
If you live in US or Canada, you are in luck. Starting October 1st, Target stores will be giving away downloadable codes for Charizard to be added to copies of Pokémon Sun and Moon. The Charizard will arrive in your game at level 50 and know the moves Dragon Dance, Flare Blitz, Fly, and Earthquake. It will be holding a Red Card item and also have the ability Blaze.
Virtual pet with AR Dragon
If you were one of those people who used to have a Tamagotchi, AR Dragon on mobile should appeal to you. Taking care of a little dragon without having to fear it will set the house on fire! My little Scotty dragon is 7 year old now, and doing well. Here’s a bit more info on the game.

Super Mario Chocolate in Japan
Thanks to Japanesenintendo.com I read about these Super Mario Chocolates being available in Japan from October 3. You have to break up the slab of chocolate to see what it depicts, but hey: I can do that! (And eat the chocolate while I’m at it too). Sweet huh?
Mobile Atelier game registration
There’s news about the mobile Atelier game: a new early-registration campaign has started to get a Rorona if the number of registrations surpass 200.000. If that happens, everyone will get Rorona in their game when it releases. For more details of how to make that happen, see this article.

Blue Reflection has been released
Last week saw the release of Blue Reflection, developed by Gust that we know so well from the Atelier games. I’ve featured this game, that is available on PS4 and PC, several times here. It sounds just like my favourite genre in RPG, but I see they didn’t release it on the Vita yet here in the West. It did see a Japanese release on the Vita, but not over here! I do wonder how far the support for the great Sony handheld….
This is the story of the game:
The game stars Hinako Shirai, a student returning to school after a lengthy absence. Once an incredibly accomplished ballet dancer, an injury leaves Hinako unable to dance. She’s not in a very good place when she arrives at Hoshinomiya Girls High School, overcome with her own emotions and those of her classmates. But Hinako soon discovers she has a unique means to deal with these rampant emotions. She is a Reflector, a person with the ability to enter the Common, a parallel dimension powered by emotional energy. She and her new friends, Lime and Yuza, transform into powerful magical girls capable of capturing emotions and harnessing their power.

Monster Hunter Stories Zelda DLC
If you own Monster Hunter Stories on the 3DS, don’t forget to download the free Zelda DLC. Find the details of the outfit, weapon and Epona here in this article.

That’s it for this week, hope you had a great gaming weekend! I didn’t get much gaming done, but it was a fun relaxing weekend nonetheless. Thank you for reading, and I hope to see you here again next week!
That picture of Sammy in your bike is too precious!! <3
Blue Reflection sounds like a good game! Maybe it will still get a Western release on the Vita… fingers crossed!
