Introducing new writer: Emily

Here I am again, introducing a new writer! Our team works entirely on a voluntary basis, so we all write when ‘real life’  permits. I’m pretty sure Emily will fit right in, as she adores the simulation games too that our little corner of the internet specialises in. Please help me welcome her!

Meet Emily Russell

Hey y’all! My name is Emily and I am a 30 year old stay-at-home wife living in Kentucky, USA. I’ve been married to my best friend for the last nine years and we have a giant cat named Pumpkin, or Pum for short. My husband and I are currently living full time in a camper (stationary) as an affordable alternative to a tiny house, which is an adventure in and of itself. I enjoy playing video games and doing different needlecrafts such as crochet, cross-stitch, and knitting.

I’ve been playing video games since I was a little girl. I definitely prefer Nintendo over PlayStation and Xbox and I grew up at the perfect time to experience the evolution from boxy NES console to the sleek Switch system. I believe I’ve had every Nintendo console during that time as well and I find it amazing how technology has advanced since the early consoles and games.

I currently have a teal Nintendo Switch Lite that I am obsessed with and have spent most of my time since buying it playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons! I have also put a huge chunk of time into Minecraft, Farm Together, and Harvest Moon: Light of Hope. I enjoy simulation, puzzle, racing, and RPG games but I am always up to trying new genres and getting outside my comfort zone.

I am excited to join the team and look forward to getting more involved in this great community!
