Welcome. It’s time to look at the Upcoming Steam Games in April 2025 that we have on our radar. But aside from our Upcoming Steam Games, if you play on Nintendo Switch, we also have an Upcoming Switch Games article.
Upcoming Steam Games
Furthermore, not all games to be released are on the list here. Alternatively, you will see games that the other gaming sites don’t mention. We are taking notice of these games, and you can expect reviews for many of them if given half a chance! It should be noted that unless we have some personal experience with the game, there’s a link to the descriptions on the Steam website.

Test your attention and observation skills in this fun, relaxing hidden object game. Can you catch all the cats?
Kalina reviewed Hidden Cats Outlaws and said this in her conclusion:
Hidden Cat Outlaws is a nice addition to the hidden cats genre. It doesn’t bring anything new to the table, but still, it’s engaging enough to kill some time finding cats.
Nif Nif – April 1st

Nif Nif is a wholesome deck builder about helping the forest and your animal pals. It is designed to be easy to pick up for genre beginners but with strategic depth for those who want a challenge!
Choose your cards with special abilities as you progress through the levels to be best prepared to face the final bosses that await you at the end of the forest. Decide what to bring on each adventure to keep things fresh, and choose between two characters, each with unique cards.
Margaret reviewed Nif Nif and gave it our highest score of Two Thumbs up and had this to say in her conclusion:
Nif Nif is precisely the entry-level rogue-like deck builder the genre’s been needing to usher in new players and offer a cozy change-up for long-timers. Its aesthetic is consistent and adorable, its tone is light and cheeky, with dorky in-jokes that bring smiles, and it’s quick and easy to play. It’s easy to assume that means the game isn’t ambitious — and really, it isn’t — but what it does, it does with a simple charm that’ll keep you coming back.
Until my partner passed over the giant brick of a fantasy novel we both wanted to read, and he’d finally finished, I was making this my just-before-bed game. It was a great choice, leaving me perfectly happy to roll over and go to bed, whether I’d won or not, and still feeling I was learning new things about deck builder tactics. Just a super little game, honestly, and I hope you’ll love it, too.

James reviewed Dice ‘n Goblins, and gave the game our highest score of Two Thumbs Up and said this in his conclusion:
Dice ‘n Goblins is a delightful dungeon crawler that welcomes both newcomers and seasoned players alike. While veterans of the genre might find it on the easier side, most players will be captivated by its charming art, engaging dice-based combat, and accessible mechanics. If you’ve ever been curious about dungeon crawlers but found them too intimidating, this is the perfect game to start with. It’s proof that rolling the dice can be both fun and strategic. Highly recommended! If you want to try first, a free demo is available on Steam.

While it may not be suitable for younger audiences, older players will find themselves drawn into a world that feels like diving into a captivating novel—one that challenges the mind and resonates deeply, leaving a lasting sense of fulfilment.

Kitchen Sync: Aloha! is a perfect pick for anyone who loves kitchen management games with a flavorful twist of RPG and visual novel elements. It blends the best of all three genres into one cozy, story-rich experience that’s both fun to play and hard to put down.
Tiny Garden – April 8th

Tiny Garden lets you cultivate a pocket-sized garden inside a magical toy passed down through generations. With no scores or time limits, it’s all about relaxing, experimenting, and letting your creativity bloom!
With no scores, no time limits, and no game-overs, Tiny Garden is all about relaxation and creativity. The more you explore, the more you’ll discover.
Yvonne reviewed Tiny Garden and gave it our highest score of Two Thumbs Up and said this in her conclusion:
Tiny Garden ticks all the boxes for me. Gardening in miniature surroundings, approaching it like a casual game with strategic planning to unlock all plant seeds, types of soil and decoration options. It’s very cute, the decorations are just like in a doll’s house, and the added letters tell a good story.
Though I like my Steam Deck, I’m always more at home with my Nintendo Switch for handheld gaming. So when I review a game on Steam Deck, I ask myself: would I double-dip if it were released on the Switch? The answer here is a firm yes, so for me, Tiny Garden gets our highest rating.
PROGRESS ORDERS – April 9th

Progress Orders is the guild where many adventurers meet. Your unique story begins as you support your companions as the guild master!
The protagonist, who has been alone, is led to the guild after finding a letter from the grandfather. Though the grandfather is nowhere to be found at the guild, the protagonist decides to work there in search of more clues. Through a ritual to become a guild staff member, the protagonist gains the ability of “Clairvoyance,” which allows seeing and hearing through the eyes of others.
You can choose between a Male or Female character. Various facilities, such as the Blacksmith, Item Shop, and Garden, are used to support each of the unique adventurers at the 3D-rendered guild.
Complex dungeons progress automatically for each party, and you may choose to step in during monster encounters, which develop into thrilling, strategic “Reading Command” battles. You can alternatively have the adventurers fight on their own and focus on your other tasks!
Include 6 members, 3 men and 3 women. Each of your stories with them will unfold as you develop further relationships with the partners. Build up your guild while getting closer to your favourite partners!
Pilo and the Holobook – April 10th

Pilo and the Holobook is an exploration-based adventure game set in a colourful galaxy where you guide Pilo, an apprentice explorer, on a journey to document the universe’s wonders and solve mysteries. Using the Holobook, a powerful encyclopedia-like tool, Pilo collects stickers to record his discoveries and uncover the story behind a mysterious dark force known as the Ta.r.
Set in the mystical XOP-642 star system, players guide Pilo through vibrant, hand-painted worlds filled with strange creatures and ecosystems. Each planet is teeming with unique flora and fauna to discover. Instead of combat, Pilo uses observation and creativity to explore these planets, collecting valuable knowledge through the Holobook.
Mina reviewed Pilo and the Holobook and said this in her conclusion:
Overall, I think Pilo and the Holobook is a great little game. It’s polished, it’s cute, and it’s pretty chill to play. With a hint system, I think it would be the perfect game for kids and families and everyone who like wholesome, fun games with simple interactions.
Game Over – A Musical RPG?? – April 11th

An adventure RPG with rhythm-based combat encounters, zany characters, moral conundrums and platforming elements.
Hi, I’m Micky Monkey Business, and you’re looking at Game Over! In this musical RPG (which actually stands for Rhythm Playing Game now), you get to see what happens after the credits roll! What does the henchman do when there’s nothing left to hench? And what of our heroes, who rendered the weapons industry useless after slaying all the baddies? And the uh,
I’ll be honest: there’s a lot I’m leaving out. It’s one of those games where you’re better off playing it knowing as little as possible. You can trust me; I didn’t make the game. I’m Micky Monkey Business, an independent third-party advise.
James reviewed Game Over – A Musical RPG?? and said this in his conclusion:
Game Over – A Musical RPG?? is not your average indie game. It’s strange, soulful, and stuffed with personality. With its unique blend of rhythm combat, moral choice, and off-kilter humour, it’s bound to become a cult favourite among fans of unconventional RPGs. If you’re into games that play with genre expectations and don’t mind a little weirdness along the way, give it a shot. Even if it’s not your thing, it’s one ride you won’t forget.
Kitchen Wars – April 16th

Kitchen Wars is an action-packed game that blends kitchen management with brawler mechanics, offering a unique and chaotic multiplayer experience.
Two competing restaurants go head-to-head, aiming not only to satisfy customers but also to sabotage their rival’s kitchen in a variety of creative and humorous ways. Players must manage their restaurant while fending off attacks from the opposition, creating a balance of strategy and combat.
LUNAR Remastered Collection – April 18th

Dive into the enchanting worlds of LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete and LUNAR 2: Eternal Blue Complete, two beloved JRPGs that have captured the hearts of gamers for generations.
LUNAR: Silver Star Story introduces Alex, an aspiring Dragonmaster who bands together with his friends to combat the perilous emergence of the Magic Emperor and stop him from taking over the world.
LUNAR 2: Eternal Blue picks up a thousand years later and follows Hiro and his friends as they set out in search of the Goddess Althena alongside an enigmatic girl named Lucia. On this grand quest, fend off enemies like Borgan and White Knight Leo, who hunt down the group to eradicate what they deem to be the “Destroyer of Lunar.”
Margaret reviewed LUNAR Remastered Collection and gave it our highest score of Two Thumbs Up:
The Lunar Remastered Collection is a thoughtfully prepared revival of a truly classic JRPG series, bringing back two games that are nostalgia incarnate for the dedicated fan and an approachable bit of history for new players. With rebalanced difficulty, a modernized inventory, zippier combat, cleaned-up visuals, and the meat of these classic stories otherwise untouched, this is a brilliant example of how to bring back the biggest moments of gaming history without wrecking the shop.
With the best two games in the Lunar saga now more accessible than ever, it’s a no-brainer of a choice for RPG fans who love the straightforward simplicity of our older turn-based games. For players used to the fancy options of modern RPGs like Avowed and Dragon Age, the Lunar Remastered Collection may feel too much like a step back. But if you love a good story, it’s still worth the time and investment to see why the genre still thrives, even in the shadow of glitzy triple-A action games.
Amerzone – The Explorer’s Legacy – April 24th

Set off on a quest for the Great White Birds in a mysterious land full of secrets! Answer the call of exploration as you travel to Amerzone, a forgotten Latin American country, to fulfil the last wishes of a late explorer.
As a young journalist, you’ve been entrusted with a crucial mission: to cross the globe and reach the heart of a mysterious, faraway land…
Your goal is to bring back the last egg of the mythical “Great White Birds”. According to legend, they are bound up with the fate of the only country they call home: a land with strange, dangerous plants and wildlife that has been devastated by years of bloody dictatorship.
Kalina reviewed Amerzone – The Explorer’s Legacy and gave it our highest score of Two Thumbs up.
Amerzone – The Explorer’s Legacy is a game I’ve been waiting for for a long time. In some ways, I’ve been waiting for it since it came out in 1999. I like this trend of old classics being remade. I hope it continues. Also, Microids has been on a roll the last few years, at least when it comes to games in the genres I like. Between Amerzone and the previous year’s Arsene Lupin game and the reimagined Hercule Poirot games, the second of which is expected sometime this year, it is a good time to be a gamer.
There’s always a need for good quality adventure games, and Amerzone – The Explorer’s Legacy is precisely that. It has enough to be a proper tribute to an already great game and a great creator, yet it also stands on its own. It’s a gorgeous, well-crafted game with smooth gameplay, no technical hiccups, great puzzles, and a well-crafted in-game world. So, if you love adventure games, you should try Amerzone – The Explorer’s Legacy. You’ll probably love it as much as I did.
